Happy Ever After in Christmas (Christmas, Colorado #7) by Debbie Mason: What I truly love about the Christmas, Colorado is that although a series, and this book being the seventh book in the series, each and every book can be read as a stand alone. In each book, we get to revisit each couple from books past, and each couple is and each book are created as a book within the story. This amazing story is the story of Jill and Sawyer.
Jill Flaherty is looking down the road to her 30th birthday with nothing to show for it except her career as a Police officer. She loves her job, she loves her friends, her brother and his family, but most of all she is in love with her brothers best friend, has been in love with Sawyer since was 10 years old. But Sawyer has never seen Jill as anything more than his best friends sister, the woman that he hung out with as a kid, protected, and was totally off limits. Besides, with the string of blond beauties that follow Sawyer around, what chance does Jill really have to catch his attention.
Sawyer has never seen Jill as anything but Jack’s little sister, and Jack has told Sawyer in no uncertain terms to keep his hands to himself. But when Jill shows up in his bar one night, sporting the sexiest red dress he has ever seen, when she lays a hot and heavy kiss on him, all his good intentions fly right out the window. Now all he can think about is how much he wants to get closer to Jill.
When an unexpected surprise pulls Jill and Sawyer together, and an even more tragic event threatens to pull them apart, it will take the entire group of family and friends to put these two back on the path of HEA.
I loved Jill and Sawyer’s story. I loved the humor, they way that they would spare with each other, get under each others skin, and even the misunderstandings and miscommunications between the two had a touch of humor to them. I love how protective Jill and Sawyer were of each other. Even when Jack was so mad a Sawyer, Jill did everything in her power to make her big brother understand that she loved him, that he was it for her. Jack was instrumental in getting these two to get out of their own way and to hang on to the love that they both have for each other.
An amazing installment in the Christmas, Colorado series. I hope that there will be more in this series. Another book was hinted at, but not a for sure, but I am hopeful, because the characters are amazing and the small town feels like part of my community. Highly recommended for a amazing summertime read.

It’s beginning to look a lot like love . . .
As her thirtieth birthday approaches, deputy Jill Flaherty decides it’s time to live a little. When she walks into Sawyer Anderson’s bar in her sexiest dress, she’s not thinking that he’s her brother’s best friend or about the many women he dated during his years as a pro hockey player. All she’s thinking is that it’s finally time to confess to her longtime crush how she truly feels.
Sawyer is done being a player on and off the ice. Yet no one in the small town of Christmas seems to believe he’s ready to settle down, not Jill, and certainly not Jack, who is determined to keep Sawyer from breaking his little sister’s heart. But as Sawyer and Jill’s relationship heats up, can he prove that he’s her happy ever after?
