Her Man of Honor by Teri Wilson is the first book in the new Love, Unveiled series, and it’s off to a good start. Everly England is a bridal-advice columnist for Veil, a wedding magazine, where she also works with her sister and their friend. Who would be better to have a perfect wedding? That was, until the groom leaves her at the altar. Her man of honor and best friend since college, Henry, finds her sitting on a bathroom floor with a box of crackers and canned cheese. What turns out to be an attempt to comfort his hurting friend ends up turning into something more.

Everly wants to settle down. Henry travels all the time to live his life in honor of his father, who always wanted to travel but didn’t get the chance to before his death. But Henry decides to take a temporary position at Veil, and soon their one night turns into more. Everly doesn’t want to lose Henry’s friendship, but when they receive an unexpected surprise, she gets scared and pushes him away. Will Everly realize that Henry could be the man she’s been waiting for before he leaves again?

Henry is a great character. He’s very patient with Everly and never pushes her for more than she’s willing to give. He’s a sweet man that readers will find themselves rooting for. I found Everly to be a little frustrating at times. She had plenty of chances to tell Henry the secret she was harboring, yet she kept putting it off. Even her sister and their friend kept telling her to tell him, yet she still dragged it out longer than she should have.

Her Man of Honor is a sweet story about friendship, love, and family that’s filled with some drama, some humor, and plenty of heart. Fans of friends-to-lovers romances will enjoy the start of this new series, and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
