His Best Friend’s Baby by Susan Carlisle was a well written emotional romance where two people fall in love by healing each other in their mutual grief.
Phoebe is a strong and independent heroine who is pregnant and is handling everything on her own after the death of her husband. She seeks out Ryan after her husband’s last letter tells her to seek him out whenever she needs any help. Ryan is someone who has gone through a lot of emotional upheaval in his life and is finally in a stable place emotionally with his job as a midwife. But Phoebe’s arrival takes him back to the battlefield and he is unsure how to manage his emotions around her.
The romance as you can guess was emotional and so beautiful because of the way the characters connected gradually throughout the book. His Best Friend’s Baby by Susan Carlisle is for everyone who loves an emotionally charged good paced medical romance.
