In Hold On To Forever (Barefoot Bay Kindle World) by Maria Geraci, Jack and Felicity are in Barefoot Bay for her sister’s dream wedding to his brother. Heat has simmered between Felicity and Jack before, but was doused before it could go farther. Seeing each other again, the heat is still smoldering, even if neither of them will admit to it as they are busy dealing with other things. Both of them have dreams of their own they’ve put on hold. Being in Barefoot Bay, the upcoming wedding, and surprise announcements means Jack and Felicity are spending a lot of time together…and soon it starts to feel like a lot more than ‘business’. As they become closer, can they have it all or will each of them have to choose to follow their own dream alone?
I liked Felicity and Jack. Felicity is running her late father’s PR firm…only it’s not working out very well. Jack is a lawyer with his father’s company, but it’s not at all what he wants to be doing. Both of them are struggling with family loyalty and their own desires for the future. I liked how Maria brought these two together with their sibling’s wedding, but it turns out to be so much more than a wedding story as Jack and Felicity’s individual struggles end up pulling them closer together. The wedding is an exciting secondary story that gives Hold On To Forever a little bit of a magical feel!
Hold On To Forever is a novella, but none of the story or the relationship between Jack and Felicity feels rushed. I liked how they became closer over the week, I liked the way their relationship grew. Felicity makes a lot of assumptions about Jack in the beginning, and it took a bit for her to grow on me because of that, but she did! I liked the sense of loyalty I got from both of them. There is a strong sense of family in Hold On To Forever.
Family dynamics are prevalent, and an unexpected surprise adds a nice twist to the story! I liked how this was dealt with, and the maturity of the characters.
In the romantic setting of Barefoot Bay, Hold On To Forever was a fun, hopeful read and I enjoyed Jack and Felicity’s journey. Well paced and just the right length, I’d recommend Hold On To Forever to any romance reader.

HOT, RICH, AND POWERFUL MEETS HIS MATCH AT A DESTINATION WEDDING IN BAREFOOT BAY
Jack Martinez has the world at his feet. Heir to Florida’s most lucrative personal injury law firm, women love him and insurance companies quake at the mention of his name. But Jack harbors a secret wish. He wants to start a small practice of his own, away from the limelight, and he’s counting on his younger brother to finish law school and take his place at their parents’ firm.
Felicity Reed wants to save her family’s dying PR company. Landing a big client like Jack would be a dream come true, but she’s made a pitch and he’s already shot her down. Which makes it awkward when her baby sister and Jack’s younger brother decide to do a destination wedding at the Casa Blanca Resort in Mimosa Key.
When the soon-to-be newlyweds announce that they’re deferring law school, Jack offers Felicity a deal; help him convince the young couple to stick to their original plan and he’ll give her PR firm a slice of his business. Which seems easy enough until Felicity finds herself actually falling for the arrogant ambulance chaser. Now she’s going to have to make a choice between family loyalty or a chance on a forever love.
