It’s Just Business by Lauren Landish, Willow Winters: The last thing anyone needs before a big interview is to be stressed out, so when up and coming business graduate, Raven arrives at the restaurant that she is supposed to have her interview at the last thing she expects is for her boyfriend to show up. Instead of offering her words of encouragement Evan decides this is the perfect time to break up with Raven! Unbeknown to Raven the guy that is set to interview her, Dylan, sees the entire altercation unfold, impressed by the way Raven handles the situation but also unable to hire her himself due to his own issues with her now ex, Dylan does the next best thing he can, and offer to take her to an event where she can do some much needed networking. Well what was supposed to be a strictly business event soon turns into a bit more than the two bargained for, when an accidental moment of passion is noticed by a few too many people, Dylan and Raven become to talk of the town…so much for only business…

I really enjoyed reading It’s Just Business, well to be honest it would be hard not to love a book written by Winters and Landish. These two always deliver on the spice, build up and an all consuming read. I loved how easy it was it get invested in Raven and Dylan’s romance. These two had the perfect balance of steamy chemistry and and honest realness to their relationship. Also I really just loved the entire setting of this novel.

Raven was such an easy to love leading lady. She was honest, relatable and a total boss girl. I really liked that she wanted to make a name for herself in a largely male dominated world, she was ready to put in the work to achieve her dreams. While she might have come from humble beginnings she was no stranger to the lavish world of New York business and I loved the fact that she knew she would have to work just that much harder to prove herself because she is a woman. Aside from being hard working, I just loved her sassy nature and how strong and determined she was. Truly her character was so easy to root on, especially when her ex was such a major tool!

Now for our hero, well Dylan was definitely your typical rich hottie hero, and for me this worked. While he might be at the top of his game right now, our hero put in the work to get to his position. The thing I loved the most about our hero was the fact that he genuinely wanted to do right by Raven, his intentions were always good and he put her first more than a few times. I also really liked getting to understand Dylan a bit better and why he was reluctant to give Raven a job at his company, we get to see him work through some of his issues as he gets closer to Raven. More than anything I loved the fact that Dylan saw Raven as an equal in business, he valued her input and her mind just as much as he loved her heart.

The chemistry between these two was just perfection! There was a slight forbidden element to their romance that I personally really liked. The back and forth attraction only built up on their already sparky chemistry and I loved getting to see this relationship unfold. These two are a prime example of once just isn’t enough when it comes to something really good, while they initially tried to deny their connection, it was impossible to fight such a strong connection. I loved getting to see thrive together and really stick it to Evan and his family.

It’s Just Business was the perfect combination of steamy work place romance, a slightly forbidden connection and some downright steamy revenge. This book is a total must read!

You know the saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend?
Well, the enemy of my ex is my rebound.

They’re both rich and powerful and have a debt to settle in the wealthy circles of NYC.
Then there’s me… the naive girl trying to make it in this city, pissed off and seemingly a willing pawn.

It was supposed to be one night to get over one man by getting under another.
Then one thing led to another, and it all spiraled out of control.
It was never supposed to go this far.

I was never supposed to fall for him.
And he was never supposed to risk it all for me.
