REVIEW: Made for You by Lauren Layne

Made for You (The Best Mistake #2) by Lauren Layne is the second book in the Best Mistake series. Yes I have read book 1, but Lauren Layne did a GREAT job setting up the story through flash backs to allow the reader to understand where the characters where coming from, what their history was and how they got to where they are now.

Brynn Dalton might be a successful dentist who dates boring doctors, lawyers, CEOs and accountants, all the perfect match for her, successful, smart, financially sound, but just as dull as she appears. Never one to step outside of the box, never one to stray from her plans, her goals. But what she is on the outside, does not reflect the scared, little girl hiding away on the inside, Dumpy Dalton, the fat girl with acne, crooked teeth and too smart for her own good, who was bullied, picked on, put down and driven to tears for most of her childhood. Brynn knows that if she strays just a little, that she will lose everything. That everyone will know that she is still as unworthy now as she was back then.

Will Thatcher has been in love with Brynn for 15 years. Wanting nothing more than to make Brynn see that he is the one that she needs in her life. The totally opposite of everything that Brynn is looking for in a guy, is spars with her at every turn, just to see her spake, to see the fire that he know she has buried under that Ice Princess exterior. But after one incredible night with Brynn 3 years before, and the rejection that followed, Will ran. But now he is back and he has a plan to thaw Brynn’s ice and show her once and for all that polar opposites have want it takes to reach their Happily Ever After.

I loved these characters. Brynn and Will fought as hot as they loved. I loved the interaction between these two, how Will understood Brynn more than she understood herself. Pushing her just enough to get her to break out of her shell, but not hard enough to send her running. The caring sides of Brynn and Will were just beautiful and I loved the ending of their story. The HEA for these two was 15 years in the making and worth every emotionally challenging moment. I give this story 5 sexy stars.
