REVIEW: Maybe Baby by Ashlinn Craven

In Maybe Baby by Ashlinn Crave, Polly Malone is running her web design company on a shoestring budget. Her internal clock is ticking but she has no time for dating or children at the moment. So she has decided to look into freezing a few of her eggs. She is a little intimidated about the entire process but she needs to plan for the future. What surprises her is when she is approached by a stranger at the clinic with an unusual request, one which is hard to turn down and will give her the Maybe-Baby-by-Ashlinn-Cravenmoney influx she needs personally for the procedure and to keep her company running.

Julian Ripley is a top London games entrepreneur fighting for his company. After his divorce he still picking up the pieces and trying to keep moving forward with his business the best he can. But when his sister asks him for help, he can’t refuse.

Polly has agreed to sell one of two of her eggs for the woman who approached her to be able to have a child. She is not even going to get to know the child with a few of her cells since the woman will be moving with her girlfriend to another country right after their wedding. And she is not going to meet the sperm donor, or at least that was the plan.

But since Polly is building their wedding site and organizing it she has to deal with many of the details which leads to her meeting the brother of the bride, Julian Ripley.

Julian is immediately attracted to Polly and wants to see her again. What he doesn’t understand is why his sister gets hysterical when she finds out. Only once he knows he doesn’t know what to do with that information. He wants to see Polly and date her, but how can he be honest with her and not tell her that she is the egg donor and him the sperm donor, which would mean that his sister’s child would technically be their child. But he knows how much his sister wants a child with their genes and that means a family member would have to be a donor, and unfortunately they have not had good luck finding an egg donor until Polly.

But Polly and Julian have something deeper growing between them and Julian will have to find a way to be able to be with Polly while still making sis sister’s wish to be a mother come true, even if it will not be easy and will make a very complicated situation.

Julian and Polly have a tough road ahead, choosing between what they want and helping another person have a chance at a dream. And to make matters worst there is someone out to hurt Julian and his family in every and any way possible, and Polly will be dragged right in the middle without her knowledge to begin with. Only once she learns the truth, she is not sure what to do about it, which will only put her in possible danger.

    This sounds like a very interesting story. My friend donated her eggs and some people didn’t understand how she could do that but it is a great way to help someone.
