Mediterranean Fling to Wedding Ring by Jessica Gilmore: Lily is devastated by the death of her best friend Izzy. As she tries to decide how to proceed with her life, she decides to leave England and go to her grandmother’s Croatian B&B for the summer. She can help out at the island resort and clear her head.

Damir and his family own a large hotel and other property on the same island. Damir is smart and driven, but also a playboy. He hopes to use his charm to get Lily to convince her grandmother to sell him their property since it has beach access. Will Damir just use Lily for his own personal gain or can he change?

The exotic locale is just perfect for romance. For many, nothing is more seductive than the beach and lush settings.
Lily is shown to be very loyal and loving with her family. The tragedy of her friend’s death has had a deep impact on her life. She is easily wooed by Damir.

Damir has followed in his father’s footsteps. It is hard for the reader to like him much at the start. He is obviously out to use Lily and that is just horrible to most of us. Although Lily has a forgiving nature, her forgiving Damir so quickly after he took advantage of her just didn’t ring true for me.

This novel is a quick read, but just didn’t grab me like most of my recent romance reads.
