My Favorite Bad Decision by Elizabeth O’Roark: Climbing a mountain is not for the faint of hearted but being stuck spending a week climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with your worst enemy, well that is down right tougher, that is until the lines between animosity and anticipation begin to blur and hate turns into lust…
Ten years ago Kit swore to hate Miller for all eternity, after all he broke her sisters heart in the most cruel way ever, break up via text! Time might have past but Kits grudge not so much, so when she arrives at the base of the mountain for her great climb, seeing non other than Miller is less than thrilling. More so seeing as he doesn’t seem to share any of her annoyance! If this wasn’t annoying enough, Miller is determined to protect her at every turn and banters just as good as he gets, how on earth is a girl supposed to stay mad and hold on to her supposed hate for him?
I LOVED this book majorly! There is just something about the way O’Roark crafts this story that just tugged me in and refused to let me go! My Favorite Bad Decision was simply put just amazing! There was nothing not to love about this banter filled, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romcom, it was the kind of book that had you giggling and not wanting to put it down even when you really had to get to work.
“I was never scared of committing. I just didn’t want to commit to anyone but you.”
I loved our hero. Miller was the kind of guy that you just cant help but love, even though he came across as slightly arrogant and sure of himself it was impossible not to love his cocky charming character. He was smart, witty and knew just how to push Kits buttons, but at the same time push her in a way she needed. Miller really had all the hallmarks to put him in the running for book boyfriend of the month, and the more we got to see of his character as the hike progressed the more I found myself loving him! Now for our sassy leading lady, gosh Kit was just a hoot! She was complex and witty and so completely loveable. She is a fighter through and through, while she hides some of her issues behind her sass, I really liked the fact that she was at her core a strong determined woman. I have to say that I really enjoyed getting to see her more venerable side come out during the climb and getting to see her learn to lean on Miller for support both physically and emotionally.
I just ate up every single banter fuelled minute that we got of this couple! I am such a huge fan of the angsty banter, push and pull that comes with an enemies to lovers book and this one has to be up there with my top 10 favourites! Between them, there’s a perfect storm of unresolved tension, lingering scars and a magnetic pull they can’t shake that just made me love this couple to bits. More than this I loved the way that Miller supported Kit, his quite love for her was just beautiful and seeing him trying to mask his feelings with sarcasm and banter while still trying to protect her and push her to achieve greatness, just made me love him all the more. While I loved all the bickering and banter, it really was the quiet moments between these two that melted my heart, Millers soft, caring, unconditional support for Kit was truly what made this book for me.
My Favorite Bad Decision was just perfection, this book has firmly secured its place in my top reads of the year without a doubt! I loved every single moment of reading Kit and Millers sassy, banter filled journey to forever love. Do yourself a favour and add this book to the top of you TBR right now, it is simply a romcom readers must!

Climbing Kilimanjaro? No thank you.
Climbing it with Miller West? Absolutely f***ing not.
A full week without showers, a real bed or Internet was bad enough. Spending it with my family’s sworn enemy—the unbearably smug, indecently handsome Miller West—is a bridge too far.
I’m determined to remain enemies, even if sparring with him is my favorite thing in the world. Even if he’s hell-bent on protecting me, whether I need it or not, and surprisingly kind, no matter how awful I am to him.
But eight days is a long time to hate someone you’re sleeping next to.
Especially when you suspect you never hated him at all.
And what happens on Kilimanjaro stays on Kilimanjaro…right?
