In Nailed by Christine d’Abo, Fresh out of design school and running her own small business, Sophia Holbrook has the chance of a lifetime handed to her when she’s asked to host a home improvement reality TV show. This could be the perfect way to launch her design career and ensure she’s successful while also giving back to a piece of property that meant the world to her growing up. The Trinity House is in need of major renovations so women and children can continue to have a place to go in times of need. Just like Sophia and her mom did. But she finds out from day one when she NAIsteps onto the site that she’ll have trouble focusing on the job at hand whenever Fynn Babineau, her costar and the site foreman, is around.

‘I was ramped up hotter than an adolescent boy watching a Victoria’s Secret fashion show and needed to blow off some steam before I ended up dry humping a lumber pile.’

The sexual tension between Sophia and Fynn becomes almost unbearable. It’s only a matter of time until either one of them give in or the crew finally takes notice. While Sophia is more than happy to have a hot time with the hunky contractor, it’s probably not the smartest idea to get involved with a coworker. There’s already enough tension on-set between the budget and time constraints. But neither Sophia nor Fynn can help their attraction. It seems the only option might be to just concede and see what happens.

‘I’d just had sex–fantastic sex–with Fynn. At work. On the set of a reality TV show. Had I lost my mind? If there was one way to screw up my reputation and undermine my professionalism, it was to have a fling with a coworker.’

Nailed is a straight forward sexy ride. And let me tell you, there’s a lot of attitude & lovin’ packed into this entertaining novella by Christine d’Abo.

Sophia was a hoot to read about. She knew her stuff when it came to design, but she was new to the world of reality TV, so there was bound to be some bumps along the way. She was a very tell-it-like-it-is person which is a lot of fun. And she was a little *ahem* frustrated let’s say. So Fynn was there to rescue the day. Well. After several torturous days of dancing around each other he rescued her. Their chemistry was pretty clear in Ms. d’Abo’s descriptions, but the blunt and dirty bantering is where I thought both Fynn and Sophia really shine. Funny and smexy. And boy wasn’t Fynn sexy…

If you’re looking for a quick and extremely hot contemporary romance with a good plot, Nailed would be a nice choice.
