Need You for Mine by Marina Adair is a must read for those readers who want true romance, witty dialogue, and unique characters that will charm you from the very beginning.
Harper Owens is friend zoned…all the time. Her seduction techniques don’t get the reaction she hopes for and is starting to realize she will end up alone. Let me start off by saying how much I loved Harper. She’s a breath of fresh air and unlike other heroines I’ve come across. She stays positive, collects people (not in a weird serial killer way), and brings the best out of people. She makes it her mission to be kind to everyone and be their friend, well, except for Adam Baudouin. He’s the Five-Alarm Casanova who can lure the panties off any woman he sets his sights on. St. Helena’s firefighter doesn’t have any problems with his game until Harper tells a lie to save her family’s lingerie shop. Now everyone in town is shipping the couple and calling them “Hadam.”
Adam realizes pretending to be with Harper has its benefits. If he ever wants a promotion he needs to get his act together and the best way to improve his reputation is to date the town’s golden girl, but when feelings get involved the game changes for everyone involved.
“Respect, humor, friendship, and connection—it was all there. So was hunger. A hunger so intense she could feel it heating her skin until her dress felt constricting and her heart pounded as if to escape.”
When Adam and Harper give in to their desires, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Their connection is real and sooner or later no one is pretending. There is a little drama between the couple but Adam really comes through at the end in a big way and gives Harper the grand gesture she deserves. Adam and Harper see each other for who they are and really make this story a recommended read. As of right now, Need You for Mine is my favorite book I’ve read this year and I know I will be giving this story a re-read! Hadam for life!!!

March 29th 2016 | Montlake Romance | Heroes of St. Helena #3
Every red-blooded male in St. Helena wants Harper Owens…as a friend. Despite her efforts at seduction, Harper seems to be destined to end up alone. The only guy with a knack for unleashing her inner vixen is firefighter and resident rule-breaker Adam Baudouin. Agreeing to a faux-mance could help him secure a promotion—and save her family’s lingerie shop, the Boulder Holder. But playing with fire has consequences. Especially when the flame comes courtesy of St. Helena’s own Five-Alarm Casanova…
None of Adam’s quick-and-easy hookups have prepared him for a connection this extraordinary. There’s more to the milk-and-cookies art teacher that he’d love to explore. But first he has to convince her to trust the town’s most notorious playboy. Even tougher—he’ll have to trust himself to be the real-life hero this warm and sexy woman deserves.
