REVIEW: One Night in My Rival’s Bed by Melanie Milburne

Melanie Milburne’s One Night in My Rival’s Bed is a fresh enemies to lovers story written with the fresh and beautiful style I love Melanie’s books for.

My heart adores the premise of this wonderful story. Grayson and Ashely are business rivals with family connections that makes them fierce rivals. The heart can’t help what the heart wants though and when their sibling’s become engaged Grayson and Ashley team up to stop the engagement.

Written in the first person adds a layer of brightness to this story which is laced with heartbreak. Emotion and heart strings are pulled and emotion is high. Amongst all the drama two beautiful people fall in love and their path is intricately woven through the pages. Passion, love, family and historical drama feature well.

Melanie Milburne has written another heartfelt romance with a difference. I praise the attempt to level up the usual troupe. I loved the memorable sibling characters in this one and how their innocent love was the catalyst for more life lasting love and best of all, the family rivalry was over.

I adored this one.

Grayson Barlowe has always been my enemy. We were taught by our warring families to compete on the business battlefield. But everything changes when we’re forced to work together!

I have never been immune to his devilish good looks. But as I learn about the pain that Grayson keeps hidden from the world, it becomes obvious he’s not just a playboy. Yet a truce seems impossible, until I find myself in the place I vowed I’d never be: between my enemy’s sheets!
