Veda Darnel was a woman of her own these days. She knew what she wanted and what she didn’t. She knew how to take care of herself and she knew what was bad for her. What Veda didn’t quite catch the concept of was how much temptation she could really stand and once the hand was in the cookie jar how hard would it be to pull it out.

Ajax Rawson, aka the Stud, loved to play hard, almost as hard as he liked to work. However he did get things balanced and he always played fair in every part of his life. He was also very blessed in that many things came easy to him and he knew it. When he had to work at things though they did mean more, and one day he was going to realize how much that meant.

Veda and Ajax should never be together, even in the same room. Their families had been rivals since before the day that either of them had been born. However their families traveled in the same circles and it was bound to happen. With one balcony and one smile their worlds would change, but how long would it last?

This is a novel that will keep you thinking and reading further and further. It is the second in a series which is good because there are a couple of story lines that do not get completed that I would hope Ms. Grady chooses to finish. However it is possible to read the novel and enjoy it without having read the first. She takes the time to develop a sub plot that is so twisty you will be pursuing the answer the entire novel. She also make Veda into such a strong female that Ajax seems to mellow however throughout most of the book they play off of each other in a nice way. This is one series to look for as it hits the shelves.
