Perfect Match by Hailey North: Perfect Match by Hailey North is a charming read that was originally released in 2000, but since then has been re-released with a brand new cover. The new cover definitely is one to take notice of, it’s sweet and fun and makes me smile when I look at it.
We have some returning characters in this book. If you read the first in the series; Bedroom Eyes, then you will remember Mrs. Merlin and Alistair, and guess what…this is Alistair’s story. But he has company. Perfect Match actually revolves around Alistair and his brother Oliver who both have two women competing for their attention.
Alistair and Oliver are both different, but the one thing they have in common is Lauren. They both are attracted to this eccentric woman, but it’s Oliver who is bewitched with her in the beginning. Lauren doesn’t want anything to do with men at the moment, she’s just looking to make some money and leave. Her plans aren’t going very well and since Oliver is successful, she decides to give him a chance, but not everything turns out like she thinks.
Enter Barbara, who happens to be Mrs. Merlin’s goddaughter and of course Mrs. Merlin believes Barbara needs a little help in the love department and sets out to help her. Barbara was attracted to Oliver in the beginning, but then moved her sights to Alistair.
Only….love is unpredictable and you never know who might really end up with in the end. I really enjoyed Perfect Match, because it kept me guessing. I didn’t know how everything was going to turn out until the end and I thought it all ended the way it should.
I thought the book was well-written and was definitely a cute read. It won’t take you long to get wrapped up in the characters and the hijinks that goes on with them.

While Not Looking For Mr. Right…
Although she vows that she’s locked her heart and thrown away the key, ravishing red-headed Lauren Stevens suddenly has several men vying to prove her wrong—and to win the right to set free her passionate self. Button-down banker Oliver Gotho seems like a good candidate, but it’s Oliver’s sexy brother Alistair who has invited the beautiful, penniless free spirit to share his living space—temporarily, of course. She thinks she should encourage the successful businessman brother, yet is it Alistair with the oh-so-sensual magic touch who holds the key to her happiness?
Has She Found Her Perfect Match?
Sexy, wise, and charismatic, Alistair has offered Lauren a place to stay out of the goodness of his heart—and certainly not because of her gorgeous eyes, luscious lips and enchanting body. Lauren may entrance him, but it’s time for him to find a sensible woman to take to wife. And Lauren, with her penchant for peccadilloes, spells nothing but trouble. But spring is in the balmy New Orleans air, and so is love, as both Lauren and Alistair discover that the heart-pounding perfect match isn’t always the one knocking at the door…
