Queen of Hearts by Whitney Dineen: Agnes has a plan, all she has to do is put in the hard work and she will be well on her way to opening up her own upscale employment agency. Everything seems to be going exactly to plan with her working along side Princess Audrey getting her foot in the door and then getting a super cool promotion to work directly under the crown Prince Andrew. The only thing that Agnes could not have factored in was one very meddlesome Queen that is determined to match make each one of her children! Could this been Queen Charlotte’s best match made to date?
The Seven Brides For Seven Mothers series has been one wacky giggle fest from start to end and I think it is safe to say that Queen Charlotte has once again crafted one heck of a love story with all of her meddling! I really loved the fact that this book was so female strong, all the female characters in this book were such boss ladies that stood up for what they wanted and I loved this!
Im going to be honest Prince Andrew was not my favourite hero in this this series. I just found that he was a bit too focused of the optics and what people expected of him and his future wife. Even with his intense attraction to Agnes I just found that he was unnecessarily mean to her a lot of the time. I get that he did not want to get her hopes up but this only made him come across as a pompous jerk. Agnes was well and truly the star in this book, I loved our lead female character to bits. She was such a boss girl, with major ambitions. I loved that she spoke her mind and did not just let Andrew walk all over her. She really had the makings of a great future queen! I loved that she kind of had a few similarities to Queen Charlotte.
For all the drama and ups and downs that Andrew and Agnes had to face these two really did make a good match. The underlying tension between them was just sizzling hot! I will say that I really liked how things turned out in the end.
Queen Charlotte is just the best! I love me a good meddlesome mother and she just takes the cake! This lady knows no bounds! She is so invested in her kids lives and helping them find their partners! I just loved getting to read things from her perspective.
If you are looking for a fast paced, quick read with one meddling mother, as sassy leading lady that takes no nonsense from her prince then this is definitely the book for you!
