REVIEW: Rescue Me by Faye Avalon

Rescue Me by Faye Avalon: When your whole world shifts again and again you sometimes wonder if you are ever going to land on solid ground again.

Maddie Mallory had no idea if she would or really what solid ground even felt like anymore. It had been a hellish two years and now was she signing herself up for a lifetime of hell or would she finally be able to put everything on the back burner and focus on what she needed to?

Gabe Harrington was miserable. His work was going well, he was growing and doing all sorts of amazing things, but he wasn’t where he wanted to be. He wasn’t happy with how things turned out two years ago either but he was determined to protect Maddie no matter the case.

Maddie’s verision of protection didn’t exactly come as Gabe planned it though but there was no stopping it once it started. The only thing left to question was how would it turn out?

4 panty rating here. Ms. Avalon has given the reader some serious heat with some romance. There is a little bit of suspense and there is a plot line, but overall this is a book with a lot of sex. It is done well though and you do become attached to these very flawed folks. I wish there were an epilogue to help wrap up their story just a bit better though and that’s really the only reason for the current rating.

“A woman like you can’t live without passion…”

He knows her weaknesses. And he knows he’s one of them.

Maddie Mallory is on her way to marry a man she doesn’t love—it’s the only way to save her father’s company—when sexy, stone-cold businessman Gabe Harrington “rescues” her by whisking her off to Monaco. The same gorgeous, arrogant Gabe who rocked her world for a week and then left her to pick up the pieces.

All Gabe wants is to save Maddie. From herself. From the corrupt fiancé who would ruin her and her father’s company. And Gabe thought he could do it without remembering the heady nights, tangled limbs and hot kisses they once shared. But Maddie isn’t about to take this “rescue” lying down—not unless it’s on her terms.

Now Gabe has one week to prove that he’s not the heartless scoundrel she thinks he is. And Maddie has one week to take what she wants from Gabe…if she can keep herself from falling for him all over again.
