Road Trip with the Eligible Bachelor by Michelle Douglas: A station wagon? Really? Quinn had booked an SUV a month ahead of time, and an airline strike had single-handedly put a huge dent in the plans she had. Moving across the country with her two boys needed to be like a holiday, but they also needed to be as penny-pinching as possible. The SUV she’d asked for would’ve saved a ton in gas money, but there was nothing to be done for 209407871that now.

Aidan had even bigger problems. Yes, he had left himself plenty of time to get home for his parents’ anniversary party, but with all the planes grounded and all the cars booked, he was stuck indefinitely. When the woman who’d been beside him at the counter and her two young sons come out of a huddle to offer him a ride he’s gobsmacked to say the least. With just a little hesitation, he agrees to go with her – how can he turn down such a generous offer?

After learning Quinn is taking a leisurely jaunt in short bursts, Aidan can hardly stand it. Singing at full volume to cheesy music, playing inane car games, stopping after five hours at a caravan park… And when he proposes a longer drive the next day – she summarily shoots him down. She’s taking life slow and easy before she starts a new one with her boys, and perhaps it’s time he did the same.

Ridiculous. Although… Aidan *does* have some time before he needs to be home. Perhaps he can spare a couple of days to relax. He can go halfway with Quinn, and pick up a car or a flight if the strike is over when they get to the city. But that only gives Aidan and Quinn time to get to know each other – and as they do, they realize that both of their lives might need to change.

This story was *way* more than I expected! I actually would have rated it higher if it were less complicated – because I felt it was a little messy with so many plot points. However, I loved the backstories of Quinn and Aidan – and how they both learned through each other that they could change without compromising who they really were.

This is just my opinion, but I thought the publicity bit could’ve been left out and it wouldn’t have hurt the story, but you may see it differently. It was still pretty awesome, and definitely worth the read.
