Save the Best for Last by Jennifer Probst: Tessa Harper and her two best friends started Quench, a magazine for women. She was known for her makeovers that helped women win the man they wanted. But lately, she began to wonder if her makeovers were doing the women a disservice. Was she helping the woman to feel more confident in themselves and their abilities or were they only changing themselves to fit the image needed to win their man? When they decide to feature women athletes and their stories in the magazine, she had to ask Ford, the annoying sportscaster who she always clashed with for help.
“Has she discovered her true worth? Or has she only used her physical appearance to win someone who was never meant for her in the first place?”
Ford had fallen for Patricia, a co-worker, but had been put in the friend zone. When she breaks up with her boyfriend, Ford believes it is his time to win her over. Unfortunately, he crumbles and fumbles under pressure when it comes to women. He always thought Tessa was standoffish and aloof but when Tessa needs his expertise and knowledge of sports, he suggests they help each other. She can help him with a makeover so he can win Patricia over and he will help her with her sports articles. As they collaborate, they realize they had mistakenly judged each other wrong. Will Ford give up the dream he has of a future with Patricia, or will he follow his heart?
“She will never see into your soul and know who you are – who you really are – and love you the way I do.”
Save the Best for Last is the third and last book in the Twist of Fate series. In the series, fate has led the three women to love where they would not have expected to find it. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I feel like reading it in order was better. This was a beautifully written story of good friendships, goodwill, and determination. It was the perfect book to end the series with.

essa Harper, makeover queen of a self-care media empire, loves a challenge. But when she’s forced to satisfy her female readership’s growing interest in sports, Tessa reluctantly seeks out Ford Maddox. The popular sportscaster, annoying friend of her bestie, and long-time sparring partner agrees to strike a deal. He’ll give Tessa his expertise if she’ll give him hers. Namely a makeover to help him get past the friendzone with the woman of his dreams.
Ford has always considered Tessa to be nothing more than a pampered elitist. But if she can turn his rough style and attitude into boyfriend material it’s worth the aggravation. The plan is working. The problem is, Ford’s also starting to see Tessa in a new light. And there’s more to the complicated woman than meets the eye.
Ford is falling hard. But is he ready to give up his ideal love to take a chance on an opinionated, independent spitfire who’s turning his life—and his heart—upside down?
