Secret Twins for the Texan by Karen Booth: So if six years have gone by and you want to prove to yourself you are over the love of your life the smartest thing in the world is to put on one heck of a dress, drive to his house and tell him you are over him, right? Yay, didn’t think so.

Danica, Dani, Moore however thought that this would be a great plan. After all so what if she was keeping two massive secrets from him. So what if she had just moved back to town and was sure to run into him. She had to see him. She had to do this and it needed to be on her terms, not his. This time she would be in control and she would do the leaving.

Cole Sullivan still wasn’t over what he had had to do six years ago. Watching the love of his life leave him, encouraging if not forcing her to do so was something he still couldn’t believe he had done. Yet he had and he was still paying for it, even if he knew it was still for the best. When she shows up on his doorstep in what some might call a dress though, well all the thoughts and good intentions are out the window and who knows what he is going to do.

The sparks are still flying high with Cole and Dani. Add to those two massive secrets that are bound to come out and a murderer on the loose? Well there are enough bumps in this road that they will either end up in each other’s laps or bounced out of the car.

This novel brings the reader back to Royal, Texas and the case that just can’t seem to close. Where is Rich and why did he do what he did? Ms. Booth does great work in weaving in the romance with the case. The story really focuses on Dani and Cole as well as where they were and were they are heading with the suspense being a side product. The only part that was a little hard for this reader was the speed and ease at which both Dani and Cole forgave each other. Otherwise the characters were well developed, the plot with enough twists to keep the reader interested and the overall descriptions enough to keep a clean picture going. This was definitely a well written novel.
