In Seduction Never Lies by Sara Craven, The entry of brooding former rock star Jago Marsh in Octavia Denison sleepy village causes quite a stir not only in the neighborhood but also in her planned and ordered life when he catches her in a compromising position. Tavi is mortified, and judging by the gleam in his golden eyes, he’s seen everything—and liked it!

Jago cannot forget the mysterious,flame-haired temptress that trespassed on his property. But seducing Tavi proves harder than expected, especially when she’s set on putting as much distance between them and is also in a newly committed relationship with her long time crush, Patrick.

He said softly, ‘No, my sweet, I’m not going to kiss you. That’s a delight I shall defer until you’re in a more receptive mood.’
She said in a voice she hardly recognized, ‘Then you’ll wait for ever.’
‘If that’s what it takes,’ he said. ‘I will.’

Seduction Never Lies by Sara Craven is a well written romance between the good girl Octavia and the bad boy rockstar Jago. It started out quite good and had a good anticipation build up but then it started to drag however it did manage to regain the pace towards the last few chapters.

Octavia Denison is the ultimate good girl and has traditional values. She has a long time crush on Patrick and when he finally asks her out–she decides he is going to be the one she will spent her life with. Jago is a former rock-star and has a long string of controversies behind him. He moves to Tavi’s village and is smitten by her but she despises him after their first not so conventional encounter.

This story is written completely in the heroine’s POV, so it was difficult to understand the hero as I never knew what was going in his thoughts. A lot of story space is provided to Patrick and the reader is introduced to him before the hero makes an entry. I felt Jago and Octavia relationship did actually start in the true romantic sense after fifty percent of the book was over and Patrick was too much involved in the story. Therefore the story does appear slow because most of the action is happening in the secondary character’s lives than the main character.

She wanted to call him a brute and a bastard, but somehow her voice wouldn’t work.
He, of course, had no such problem. He said harshly, the tawny gaze scorching her, ‘A word of advice. Open your eyes, Octavia, before it’s too late.’
Then he turned and crossed the road to where a Jeep was parked under a chestnut tree, swung himself into the driver’s seat, and roared off without a backward glance.
Leaving her staring after him, a shaking hand pressed to her swollen mouth.

Overall, Seduction Never Lies by Sara Craven is a well written romance which could have been an awesome read if the focus of the story would be more on the main characters. It is a good one time read but Sara Craven has written a lot better books and compared to her other books, this one fell a little flat.
