Small-Town Secrets by Pamela Tracy: Yolanda Sanchez is opening a used bookstore in Scorpion Ridge, Arizona. Adam Snapp is doing general handyman duties at the store to help her prepare. The two have known each other for years. Adam is also helping out at the family business, a Tae Kwon Do studio. His father is battling pancreatic cancer and his twin brother Andy is autistic. Adam returns to town having been hurt by his ex, Stacey, who cleaned out his bank account and broke his heart.
Yolanda and Adam soon stumble upon an ages-old town mystery revolving around the founding families. Yolanda’s gramma and Adam’s great-grandmother are brought into the mix. As they investigate and put the pieces together, their feeling for each other grow.
‘That’s what love is,’ Gramma Rosi said. ‘Worrying more about the dreams of the one you love than about your own.’ ‘But if you love and support each other, can’t everyone’s dreams come true?’
Small-Town Secrets was a bit slow paced but I never felt like giving up. I was interested in seeing where the story was going to go. It was a fun, soap opera-like mystery. Adam’s great-grandmother, Loretta was my favorite character. She may be getting older but she remains spunky. Both Yolanda and Adam were good characters, with dreams and aspirations.
I would recommend Small-Town Secrets to those who like mystery and romance.

One particular secret could tear them apart… Yolanda Sanchez had never been a “follow your bliss” type of girl, always preferring to make practical choices. But since her mom’s will stipulated that she had to fulfill a dream with her inheritance, here she was, opening a used book store. With consummate dreamer Adam Snapp, an artist and childhood friend, as her handyman. So much for her comfort zone. But she needs help, and Adam needs the work. It’s strictly business…until they discover a mysterious book about Scorpion Ridge history. One that reveals not just secrets of their families’ pasts, but how deeply intertwined their futures really are.

Thanks for reviewing Small-town Secrets. It was great fun to write. LOL, at first I wanted it to be a ghost story. Then, it became a mystery and romance.
