Snowbound with his Forbidden Princess by Pippa Roscoe is a regal love story where two strong and beautiful people are faced with the ultimate challenge of scarifying their love for the sake of duty, more than once.

Freya desperately wants to step down from royal life but her brother, the King, demands one final royal duty from her which lands Freya back into the hemisphere of Kjell, her one true love who betrayed her many years ago. Abandoned at Kjell’s cabin amidst a terrible storm, it’s only a matter of time before Kjell and Freya must face the past and the painful memories it brings. Turns out it’s not only Freya who has been feeling betrayed all these years.

Clever flashbacks builds the love and backstory between Freya and Kjell and reveals the reason he was exiled. Pure love radiates off the pages but there’s a lot of hurt to unpack and issues to resolve. Pippa Roscoe has written such an exciting, emotional and heart-breaking story. I loved the change from the norm where it’s all “I can’t love you because I’m a brick wall”. It was super clear Freya and Kjell loved each other; it was everything else that the author threw at them that was the roadblock.

Really loved this one, lots of energy, raw emotion and love. I can’t wait for Freya’s siblings stories, especially her brother’s story!
