Stuck In The Country With You by Zuri Day: Genesis Washington is surprised when the will is read for her beloved Uncle Cyrus and she has inherited his farm. She has happy memories of spending time with Cyrus over the years. Unfortunately, Cyrus’ grown children are more than unhappy about the will and wheedle and threaten Genesis with legal actions. It doesn’t matter that they didn’t visit or call their father very much.

As if things weren’t difficult enough, Genesis discovers Jaxson King lives next door. He and Genesis had a one-night stand when she was still in high school. This went on to cause a huge rift that included Genesis’s brother.

Now ten years later, Jaxson is still as handsome as ever. He is kind and caring with being a father. He even is willing to help Genesis with her home that definitely needs some serious TLC and repairs. Uncle Cyrus had let things go over the years.

The two work well together and all that togetherness leads to a spark of attraction that bursts into flames. Jaxson and Genesis both have lots of baggage from the past. Can they work through that and have a HEA?

The subtitle of this novel is “A Spicy Small Town Western Romance”. I would say that scorching is more like it. If you like your romance stories super hot this is the book for you.

I liked that Genesis grew brave when dealing with the relatives and the sticking to Uncle Cyrus’s final wishes. Jaxson is a caring man in so many ways. How could anyone resist him? The small town setting is one of my favorites and Westerns rank up toward the top, too. You will enjoy being stuck in the country when you pick up this book.
