REVIEW: Suddenly Expecting by Paula Roe

In Suddenly Expecting by Paula Roe, Kat Jackson and Marco Correlli’s friendship was going strong until a night of passion changed everything. Kat starts avoiding Marco after their night of indiscretion but being pregnant with her best friend’s baby changes a lot of things.

When Marco finds out the truth, he whisks Kat off to a private island retreat just before a cyclone is about to hit the mainland. Due to the weather-conditions, they are stuck on the island with just each other for company. With no where to run, they are forced to confront their feelings for each other.

Suddenly Expecting by Paula Roe is a well written romance with a friends to lovers and pregnancy theme. Kat has been the subject of tabloids discussions quite often and her not so perfect past relationships have not helped her fame in anyway. But hunky sports star turned TV presenter Marco Correlli always had her back. Marco is a perfect combo of both a lover and a true best friend. He tries to solve the problems that have come up between Kat and him after their night of indiscretion.

Both the main characters are likable and their chemistry is also very believable. They both were not comfortable of the unwanted feelings they felt towards each other at first and were afraid to take their friendship to another level. So it was to commit or not for the major part. There are a lot of things going on in the story which for me is always a good thing if everything is explained in the end which the author manages to do quite perfectly.

Overall, Suddenly Expecting by Paula Roe is a well written romance for everyone to loves the friends to lovers trope with a twist.
