Prepared to be thrilled in Sweet Revenge by Rebecca Zanetti! Rebecca gives us strong characters with an outstanding plot in Sweet Revenge. Laney is independent, strong and beautiful…but until now no one has ever taken care of her or cared for her. Matt is used to being a protector and caring for others, in particular his brothers…and now Laney. Despite the truths that come out, he is strong enough to listen to understand and not react. Together Laney and Matt make a powerful heroine and hero. Laney and Matt have very hot chemistry that sparks almost immediately. Their relationship is not typical, and this makes for a romantic suspense that packs a punch! Rebecca smoothly weaves together the romance with a tension filled, action packed suspense with plot twists that will manage to surprise you and keep you guessing.
The story of Matt and his brothers is in no way overshadowed by the romance. It is an amazingly intriguing plot, one that leaves you thinking that what happened to Matt and his brothers could just possibly happen, it’s one of those ‘you never know’ concepts that makes Sweet Revenge all the more spine tingling. At the same time you are horrified by what has happened, you feel so much for those boys, who they were and the men they’ve become. Rebecca writes a captivating tale in Sweet Revenge that will grip you.
To feel the full impact you need to read Sweet Revenge, my summary here can’t do Rebecca’s book justice. I would recommend reading the first book in the series (Forgotten Sins) in order to understand the story of Matt and his brothers.
