Taking the Boss to Bed by Joss Wood: Chemistry that blows you out of the water within the first moments of everyone remeeting, that is impressive. Unfortunately with chemistry though, sometimes you get amazing results and sometimes everything blows up in your face.
Jaci Brookes-Lyon was one of a kind. Yes, she had a loving family and siblings but she always felt like the oddball, the ugly duckling so to speak, waiting for her turn to become a swan. One day when opportunity arose she shook off the ashes of being badly burned and spread her wings across the globe to NY.
Ryan, “Jax”, Jackson had lived the last couple of years pushing away anyone who dared to try and get too close. He had been burned and by those who were the closest to him, so this was his protection. But what happens when someone gets through that barrier?
Jaci and Jax had known each other for years, but never in the biblical way and they hadn’t even seen each other recently. Well when within the first few moments of seeing each other again they were making out like teenagers, everyone knew something was definitely combustible.
WOW. Ms. Wood has given her readers a story that starts off HOT and just seems to pick up steam the entire way through. It seems she has taken parts of the Cinderella and Ugly duckling tropes, combined them with the boss trope and come up with this unique story that will have you wondering how people can get over certain things in their lives with ease while others struggle so. Her characters are so realistic that it is easy to watch this story play out in your head. This is a great read that combines the elements so well it will have you wanting more.

One kiss from the boss is all it takes!
When producer Ryan Jackson kisses a beautiful stranger to save her from a lecherous investor, he doesn’t know she’s his newest employee…or that she’s also his best friend’s little sister all grown up. Now the only way to save his business deal is a scorching, hands-on, make-believe affair with the one woman who is absolutely off-limits. So why is he thinking more about seducing Jaci Brookes-Lyon than toeing the corporate line? When sexual ruse becomes reality, can faking it save his business and lead to love?
