In The Argentinian’s Demand by Cathy Williams, When billionaire Leandro Perez’s indispensable and alluring assistant Emily Edison resigns and lets him know what she really thinks of him, he’s furious. He decides to spend two weeks with her to change her mind on the pretext of preventing her from leaking any business secrets.

Emily resigns from the job to marry a suitable man to bring security to her family. Her plans for marriage are ruined when Leandro orders her to do his binding. And as their attraction gives way to a craving that’s impossible to deny Emily will have to make the ultimate choice—duty…or desire?

The Argentinian’s Demand by Cathy Williams is a well written romance which starts out really great and had a good premise. Leandro is a typical rich and sexy alpha hero who is used to having too much of female attention. He is used to having whatever he wants and is unable to handle rejection in any way. Emily is a reserved heroine who does not share anything personal easily. She was not my favorite kind of heroine because she gives in to Leandro’s every demand so easily. Her choices did not agree with me and I personally could not relate to her.

The romance is steamy and filled with sexual tension. There were many situations in the story as the story progresses that were not my idea of a perfect romance. For example, too many compromises from the heroine side were frustrating.

The storyline was a little different from the previous harlequins I have read and that was refreshing.
