In The Arrogant One by Marni Mann, From the moment Sadie Spencer locked eyes with Hart Weston, she knew her world would never be the same. The sparks that fired between them when their hands met on the door to a popular local restaurant was the stuff of romance novels. Then there’s the night they spend together. Sadie is definitely not a one-night stand kind of gal. But Hart somehow makes her break all her rules. Well, almost all. Because as much as she can admit to herself that she’s falling for the gorgeous billionaire, she can’t let on who she is in the food scene, or it could be detrimental to both their careers. And Sadie would never do anything to cause harm to the Westons’ empire. She only hopes when the truth comes out that Hart understands and can move past any details she was forced to omit.
‘I was falling for the man. For the way he treated me. For the way he looked at me. For the chemistry I’d never felt with anyone else before. For the way he made my body feel every time he touched it.’
Hart’s life is too fast paced to even think about dating seriously or settling down. That’s why he chooses to spend one night only with any beautiful woman who catches his eye. And they never are allowed access to his home in the hills to avoid complications. Then Sadie enters the picture. Hart has never felt such a strong connection with a woman in his life. Not only does she check off all the boxes he’d have for a future wife, but she also loves food, travel, and her family as much as he does. And their chemistry? Absolutely, insanely off the charts. So, for the first time Hart begins thinking long term. Oddly enough it doesn’t scare him. If anything, it makes him want to learn all about Sadie’s career, plans, and dreams so he can pull her even more into his world. Once he can break through that final wall and get her to open up about what she’s keeping from him, that is. Good thing Hart can be persistent when needed.
‘Our relationship was something else that wasn’t perfect, but I love it just the way it was. Perfectly flawed, perfectly beautiful, and perfectly ours.’
A decadent billionaire romance with a misunderstanding, a lie of omission, and tons of delicious…food, THE ARROGANT ONE was a sexy start to Marni Mann’s new series, The Weston Group.
“Being bad was step one. Naughty is next.”
Leave it to Marni Mann to take a dual POV romance about a billionaire and a social media phenom, add in some seriously steamy dirty talk, throw in some crossover characters from her other series, and wrap it all up in some glorious sounding food. All of which will have you drooling. Not a bad start to The Weston Group saga, right? THE ARROGANT ONE was definitely the perfect place to begin. And I think the glimpses we got of each Weston sibling will be enough to whet your appetite for more.
Sadie and Hart were something else. Their attraction was instant–as were their secrets. But unlike some romances with lies of omission, there was thankfully a good reason why neither could admit exactly who they were considering their careers intersected in a way that could cause issues. I won’t ruin it with details about Hart and Sadie’s clashing jobs. Suffice to say it led to some definite friction. Although it didn’t do anything to diminish their chemistry that continued to grow with each chance meeting and, later on, each date they went on.
Watching Sadie and Hart fall fully in love was so much fun. They had great banter–sometimes sensual and filled with innuendo and other times it showed the way their personalities meshed well. They were the type of couple who clicked right away. It made it easy to cheer them on as well as hope Hart and Sadie would be able to share everything about themselves some day and find their HEA. They eventually did get there with some help from their friends and family, plus a whole lot of communication (finally) about how to tackle any issues going forward. With an ending that was sweet, sexy, and totally them to a T, Sadie and Hart will be sure to steal readers’ hearts.

A sizzling one-night stand, billionaire romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann …
I’m the arrogant one. She’s the woman who could tame me. What I don’t expect is to fall in love.
I’m the arrogant one. She’s the woman who could tame me. What I don’t expect is to fall in love.
The minute I hear her laugh, I smile.
The second my fingers touch hers, I never want to let them go.
When my eyes take her in, I know …
Sadie Spencer is meant to be mine.
She’s everything I never knew I wanted.
Her curves put me in a trance.
Her body has me in a choke hold.
She’s an addiction, and I can’t keep my hands to myself.
It’s the sexiest one-night stand I’ve ever had.
At daybreak, the bed is cold, and Sadie is gone.
And for the first time in my life, the scorching chemistry and carnal memories leave me wanting more.
When I see her again, I’m shocked.
Consumed.
Enthralled.
Obsessed.
But she has secrets in her eyes.
They match the ones in mine.
That’s the wedge between us.
Together, we’ve weaved this web of lies, and when the truth comes out … it might break us.
