The Boss’s Forbidden Assistant, Clare Connelly’s August 2023 release is one of the best workplace romance’s I have ever read.
Harper Lawson is incredibly bright and one of the best Executive Assistants who works at Salvador’s company. When a once in a lifetime career opportunity presents itself by being Salvador’s EA, Harper can’t wait for what she’s told will be one of the hardest two weeks of her life to begin. Not only is the experience invaluable but so too is the remuneration which she needs for personal reasons.
Salvador works 24/7, not only to keep his huge empire running but to run away from his world of hurt. When his EA goes on leave and recommends Harper he’s dubious but quickly blown away by Harper. Not only professionally but personally as well. For the first time in a long time he looks at another woman twice.
I adore Clare Connelly’s stories. She writes with passion and action packed adventure and emotion with sass and humor mixed thru. This was no different. I’m not a huge fan of workplace romances because they just don’t seem to be written like back in the day by Abby Green and Sarah Morgan but this one was brilliant. The rollercoaster story concluded with one of the best Epilogues I have ever read. My heart! I was left with the feeling I don’t want to start another story and forget these memorable characters.
Don’t miss this one! 5 stars from me.

Ever since a tragic loss, Brazilian billionaire Salvador da Rocha has retreated to his private island, vowing not to love again. When he’s forced to hire a temporary assistant, he’s convinced Harper Lawson won’t meet his scrupulous standards. Instead, she exceeds them. If only he wasn’t tempted by the forbidden…
Usually hyperfocused, Harper is dangerously distracted by Salvador. His arrogance is infuriating, yet their chemistry is untamable…and their surrender inevitable! As Harper’s departure from paradise draws closer, their connection only deepens, but is it enough to make her stay?
