The Cost of their Royal Fling by Lucy Monroe is the fun conclusion to the Princesses by Royal Decree trilogy.
Prince Dimitri is the youngest of the three royal brothers of Mirrus and as such has less regard to royal duty but is still a success in his own right. Ordered by Prince Kon to find out if long time family friend Jenna has been leaking private stories about their family, Dimitri hesitantly steps up to the challenge. Hesitantly because he’s always been attracted to Jenna but he’s not so sure he wants to be the one to discover if she is a spy. What he does discover sends everyone into a panic including Jenna.
Jenna and Dimitri’s attraction to each other is such an enjoyable read. With the hint of mystery and drama being the catalyst for Jenna and Dimitri to finally face their attraction I would still call this a delightful story, fun and energetic. It’s quick paced and light hearted. Great dialogue between the two and I loved Emma and Nataliya’s roles. And Prince Kon, what a great ploy he came up with. A simple love story which also covers off the required Present’s loved traits; exotic locations; drama and secrets which threaten to make or break relationships. It was perfect for the summer day I read this story outside in.
Wonderful conclusion and highly recommended for all who love an escapism story without all the intensity and dark drama.
