The Greek’s Billion-Dollar Baby by Clare Connelly: Hannah is smart, caring, and just wants to be loved. She never traveled until learning of her fiancé’s betrayal when she impulsively decided to travel to the one place she had always dreamed of visiting. She never really had a home after losing her parents and she learned to play down her accomplishments for others.

Leonidas is determined to never get past losing his family. He has vowed to remain single and celibate while focusing on work. He runs the family business with his half-brother and they have brought the company back into solvency and prominence. He’s handsome, sexy, and private.

Hannah and Leonidas happen to collide and have a one-night stand neither can forget. Both agreed to one night only, but their connection seemed bigger than the time they spent together. Everything changes when Hannah figures out she’s pregnant and has to seek Leonidas out.

But he didn’t respond. Something tightened in his expression, his jaw moving as though he were grinding his teeth. ‘I meant what I said, Hannah. One night. Nothing more.’
‘I know that.’ She nodded, thinking of the situation she’d left behind, the mess her private life was in. The last thing she wanted was the complication of more than one night.

Hannah doesn’t know what to expect, but his intention to get married is surprising to say the least. They really don’t know each other, but Leonidas is quite insistent and persuasive that marriage is the only way forward. The baby brings them closer as they have to get to know each other, at least on some level. He’s traditional yet open-minded, protective, and supports her. She pushes him to open up and think of the future.

‘You deserve better than this.’
‘Than marriage to you?’
‘Better than a lifetime with me.’ His lips were grim. ‘I’m not the man you want me to be.’
‘And what do I want you to be?’

The Greek’s Billion-Dollar Baby is a whirlwind with angst, heat, and emotion. Clare Connelly quickly develops the characters and relationship while providing great descriptions of the European settings. Fans of Melanie Milburne and Bella Frances will enjoy The Greek’s Billion-Dollar Baby.
