The Magnate’s Mail-Order Bride by Joanne Rock: Circumstances sometimes force an issue that you never would have seen otherwise. Sometimes they make you see people in a new light and sometimes they become life altering.

Sofia Koslov was a famous ballerina who had worked very hard for all that she had achieved. In fact she was young to have so many of her accolades. Unfortunately that did have her isolated and occasionally lonely. Her father may have been rich and powerful but her mother had taught her that that kind of power never amounted to love. So she was pretty sure anyone like her father was not right for her.

Quinn McNeil was rich and powerful yes, but he had a strong sense of family. So he was there when his brother went to do one of the most foolish things he had ever seen him do. However when his brother left Quinn knew it was up to him to clean it up. The only thing was he didn’t realize he would enjoy it so.

Things happen pretty quickly when you are falling down a rabbit hole so you don’t see a lot of the other holes, until you do. Now the question is will the hole you fall down be the one you chose forever?

This starts a series about the McNeil brothers and their grandfather’s outrageous request. It lays a good ground story on which the others, I’m hopeful, will be built. This story it’s self is alright as a standalone and while it does have a HEA it does leave you wanting more. Quinn is testing boundaries as an Alpha but Sofia has a strong steely character Ms. Rock touches on. There aren’t many major twists to the reader but the players don’t see many things coming. Overall this is a good read, just not Ms. Rock’s typically spectacular ones.
