The One from the Wedding by Katherine Garbera: Danni Eldridge wants to pursue her passion of being a 
successful jewelry designer. She has done well with her online Etsy shop, but wants to move on to a bricks and mortar store. She has a year to do that or she will have to go back to practicing law with her family.
Danni has designed the jewelry for her friend’s destination wedding and is attending it. Not only does she want to see her friend married, but she hopes to meet Leo Bisset there. Leo is very well known as a corporate advisor and his mentoring would truly be beneficial for Danni to attain her goals.
Leo is attracted to Danni and wants to be more than an advisor to her. Can he woo her with his lavish lifestyle and charm? Will Leo be distracted by all the family drama going on during the wedding events?
Danni and Leo have sizzling love scenes which are expected with the Harlequin Desire line. Those scenes are well written. I do wish the author would have had more focus on the hero and heroine earlier in the story. Instead there were lots of side issues examined. This novel goes back a little farther than book number one, The Wedding Dare, in this mini-series. There is a lot of family drama as the family meets to discuss deep secrets from the past that have come to light.
This novel would have gotten a higher rating from me for a couple reasons. First, there are way too many characters and it is hard to keep them all straight. Second, there appears to be an editing mistake. The family is all gathered and discussing the secret and the unfolding drama when suddenly the scene switches to something about Danni. Then it goes back to the former family meeting. This was a bit jarring for me.
Katherine Garbera is a well known respected author and I am a lowly volunteer reviewer, but I have to be honest so readers can know what to expect. I would be willing to read book number three in this series and hope there is more continuity.
