The Rancher’s Marriage Pact by Kristi Gold: When you angered someone so much they could reach out from the dead and get to you, now that took talent. When it was your father, well what did that have to say about your family life?
Paris Reynolds had been through the ringer. Her first marriage was a mess and her she was two months away from being out on the street. So she was taking a chance, showing up on a ranch to apply for a job that hadn’t even been advertised. But she could do this, she knew she could. Then she could pull herself out of the mess that her ex had gotten her into and start again.
Dallas Calloway was a handsome son of a gun and a rich one to boot. Now if only he had figured out a way to outsmart his father well he would be happy as well. Yet as the deadline loomed for him to get married all he could think about was how much he was going to miss the ranch and how much of a bastard his father had been.
It seems fate can bring good things to, because when Paris walked into Dallas’ office all bets were off and fate was being challenged. In the end what would happen? Would their pasts be roadblocks they couldn’t get past? Or would their future be brighter than the Texas sun?
Ms. Gold has told an interesting tale with this one. It was a quick moving plot and relatable characters. Paris imparticular has a way of pulling at one’s heartstrings as they are reading more and more about her. This is a story with twists and it seems like every time one situation is cleared up another pops up to take its place. This is a good read, but can be a little bit choppy at times. If you are a fan of cowboys this one certainly has a yummy one to bite into.
