REVIEW: The Ring the Spaniard Gave Her by Lynne Graham

I really enjoyed the adventure of The Ring the Spaniard Gave Her

Lynne Graham has created a wonderfully feisty and enjoyable heroine with Suzy. I particularly loved the part Suzy ran away and Ruy found her up a tree. Ruy is a good guy, even though he comes across as arrogant and moody. He essentially rescues Suzy from a terrible marriage of convenience/blackmail.

I really enjoyed Lynne’s vibe of small town, country pub, daughter trying to rescue her dad scenario. Ruy’s inner artist drives him to want to paint Suzy and it’s an interesting spin on the standard Presents Hero.

A good epilogue rounds out a pretty much angst free story. I feel this fake-fiancee story has more of a Harlequin Romance vibe and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a light hearted read with some adventure and laughs on the path to true love.

It doesn’t have the super dark and super angsty over the top emotion that drives the older Lynne Graham stories, but I really enjoyed it anyway.
