In The Summer Proposal by Vi Keeland, Blind dates aren’t Georgia Delaney’s favorite thing in the world, but after being in a long-term relationship that just ended, it’s her best option to get on with her life. She can’t believe her good luck when the most handsome man she’s ever seen sits down at her table. And after several very flirtatious, extremely fun minutes tick by, Georgia realizes Max Yearwood isn’t her date after all. Just a huge hunk of a guy who took a chance and ended up charming her completely. She’s bummed when her real date shows up, forcing Max to take off–but not before leaving her a ticket to the hockey game for that night. Little did Georgia know that attending that game at the Garden after her actual blind date fizzled would change her life when she begins to fall for the talented hockey player.

“Is this man as sweet as he seems from the little I’ve been around him?”
I sighed. “He really is. Under that tough-guy, hockey-player-who-hits-people-with-a-stick exterior is a real softie.”
“And how’s the sex?”
I smiled just thinking about it. “He checks that sweetness at the bedroom door.”

Max took a chance that Georgia would use the ticket and show up at his home game, hoping he’d get to see her at least one more time before hitting the road again. And what do you know, it worked. Seeing Georgia watch him on the ice felt better than every goal he scored that night. Even better was Max coming up with a plan for them to spend time together over the summer, keeping her wishes to stay casual in place while they traipse all over NYC. Georgia turns out to be everything Max could want in a partner. Smart, capable, stunningly beautiful, adores his two dogs, and oh so kind, it’s too bad he’s being traded to a team on the West Coast at the end of their summer together, or who knows where things could have gone.

‘She dug her nails into Four’s head, and he nuzzled against her chest. With his head in her cleavage, the little furball glanced back in my direction. I could’ve sworn he was gloating.
Yeah, I am jealous, you little shit.’

With chemistry so hot I’m surprised my Kindle didn’t have steam rising off of it, Vi Keeland’s newest power couple spent a scorching hot time together in The Summer Proposal. Sexy, funny, uber romantic and heartfelt, it was everything I could have hoped for.

“Enjoy the summer with me. I’m not looking for anything serious, and I can tell we’ll have fun. But we’ll also have an expiration date, which will keep things less–as you said–complicated.”
It was a seriously tempting offer.

When I think about Vi Keeland’s books, I think of strong characters who are flawed but utterly likable, and sexy, heart-racing scenes. The Summer Proposal definitely had that. But it also had a unique meet-cute that tickled me to no end as well as a situation between its main characters that, while it had its ups and downs, stole my heart. But that’s the beauty of Keeland’s romances. They take you on an adventure that’s worth every giggle and sigh of frustration, knowing that there will be a swoony ending to grab onto.

I am seriously so in love with Max and Georgia. And the secondary cast as well, to be honest, which absolutely includes Max’s two adorable dogs and his multitude of family members. (Georgia’s BFF Maggie was *awesome*!) Max was my favorite kind of book boyfriend where he was fiercely loyal to his loved ones, had a wonderful sense of humor, was a dirty talker, and he was an alpha but had a soft side to him as well. But Max had a potentially life-changing secret he kept from Georgia, which was his only downfall in my humble opinion.

I equally adored Georgia, who was a force to be reckoned with in the business world but wore her tender heart on her sleeve when it came to her personal life. She and Max complemented each other quite well. And even though you could tell they wouldn’t be able to easily say goodbye at the end of the summer, thanks to their incredible connection, Georgia and Max were a couple you couldn’t help but cheer on to enjoy the time they had together.

The first time I met Max Yearwood was on a blind date.
Max was insanely gorgeous, funny, and our chemistry was off the charts. He also had the biggest dimples I’d ever laid eyes on.
Exactly what I needed after my breakup.
Or so I thought…
Until my real date arrived.
Turned out, Max wasn’t who I was there to meet. He only pretended to be until my real date showed up.
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.
Before he left, he slipped me a ticket to a hockey game a few blocks away, in case things didn’t work out on my actual date.
I tossed the ticket into my purse and went about trying to enjoy the man I was supposed to meet.
But my real blind date and I had no connection.
So on my way home, I decided to take a chance and stop by the game.
When I arrived, the seat next to me was empty.
Disappointed again, I decided to leave at the end of the period.
Just before the buzzer, one of the teams scored, and the entire arena went crazy.
A player’s face flashed up on the Jumbotron. He was wearing a helmet, but I froze when he smiled.
You guessed it: Dimples.
Apparently, my fake blind date hadn’t invited me to watch hockey with him, he’d invited me to watch him play.
And so began my adventure with Max Yearwood.
He was everything I needed at the time—fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months since he’d signed with a new team three-thousand miles away.
Max proposed we spend the summer helping me forget my ex. It sounded like a good plan. Things couldn’t get too serious when we had an expiration date. Right?
Though, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.
