The Wedding Planner Playbook by Shannon Stults: As one who has lived in Georgia almost all her adult life, I was drawn right into the setting of The Wedding Planner’s Playbook with its fictional coastal town of Bedland Shores. Small towns are not as prevalent as they once were, but I always find them charming in romance stories. At the same time, I could see it was a huge challege for Tori Schaefer when she left her wedding planner business in Atlanta to take over her mother’s in this small town. Of course, she would be concerned that she had to prove herself .

Tori goes to a wedding to check out the competition. A handsome man, who she assumes is the wedding photographer, turns out to be a wedding planner himself.

Wyatt Rhoades got into wedding planning to have his own business to prove he could be a success to his family, especially his father. He is so charming with stories and such that it is hard to believe he had problems in his past, especially as a child. He calls himself “an odd duck”. Many of us can probably relate to that. It is encouraging to see a man as a wedding planner when it is often viewed as a “woman’s job” . Thankfully, in recent years, both sexes are able to pursue many different career paths.

I enjoyed every minute of reading this charming, sweet, love story. The hero and heroine were able to see past an important competition and realize the most important thing is love. I loved the secondary character of Dani. She grew over the course of the book and could stand up for what she wanted.

This was my first book by author Shannon Stults. I will be truly looking forward to more of hers in the near future.

May the best wedding planner win…

After spending years making a name for herself as one of Atlanta’s top wedding planners, Tori Schaefer moved to the small, coastal town of Bedland Shores, Georgia, to take over her mother’s wedding planning business. While attending a wedding to assess the local competition, Tori meets a charming, camera-wielding stranger with a smile that leaves her heart stuttering.

Wyatt Rhodes has always loved helping couples celebrate their special day and created Narrative Weddings to do just that. When he runs into a gorgeous woman at one of his weddings, he’s completely smitten until he learns she’s his competition for the most influential wedding the town has ever seen.

They have two weeks to find the perfect venue and pitch their ideas to the bride. Tori is willing to do whatever it takes to land the gig that’ll put her business on the map. Can she find the balance between attraction and rivalry, or will her determination to win lose her a chance at her own happy ever after?
