Their Dubai Marriage Makeover by Louise Fuller has a beautiful, true to story cover and is an enjoyable second chance romance.
Delphi has run from her marriage. She feels her husband Omar values building his empire over her and she can’t cope any more. But it’s not just Omar’s obsession with his empire that has caused her to run. Omar loves his wife and was heartbroken in more ways than one when he found Delphi gone. With a stroke of luck he tracks her down and pleads with her to attend his father’s birthday celebrations as one final act as his wife. Agreeing reluctantly they travel to Dubai where Omar does his best to win his wife back.
Delphi’s walls were appealing at first but I do wish she’d let them down sooner. I do think Louise Fuller did a great job of justifying why Delphi felt the way she did. Omar was the hero of the story and I enjoyed his efforts and also could of kicked him when he picked up his phone one time too many. I really enjoyed the close proximity the terrifying sandstorm put them in and I enjoyed their shared love of horses. I loved how the book was mostly set in Dubai and the descriptive writing was a winner for me. I liked reading about the interesting family dynamics and I just really, really liked Omar.
I really liked this story but I’m a sucker for a second chance story and while I would of loved to have seen Omar and Delphi sort their issues sooner I do think what made them both tick was described well and set the scene. I also love epilogues so I found the ending a bit tough but that’s just my personal feelings and I do think Their Dubai Marriage Makeover was overall a really lovely and passionate story.
