Their Ranch Reunion by Mindy Obenhaus: What a sweet and beautiful story! “Their Ranch Reunion” takes place in the charming and beautiful Colorado town of Ouray. Having visited there many years ago, its’ always fun to read stories that take places in familiar settings.

This is a touching story of second chances. Years earlier, Carly and Andrew dated as teenagers. In present day, Andrew is a businessman in Denver, while Carly is widowed and raising her daughter while running her family’s B and B. Andrew returns to Ouray with the plan to sell his late grandmothers’ home, not realizing Carly inherited half of it and hopes to purchase his half, to expand her B and B. Andrew and Carly are quickly faced with the challenge of how to handle the fact that they each inherited half the rights to his grandmothers’ home. Meanwhile, Carly’s 9 year old daughter Megan takes a strong instant liking to Andrew, who is wonderful in the way he interacts with her.

When a blizzard blankets Ouray, Carly helps care for Andrews’ widowed father who is sick with pneumonia on the family ranch. Andrew views the ranch as something that has fallen apart and sucked the life from his father. Andrew’s father, brothers, and Carly see the ranch as a blessing, a beautiful refuge. Can Carly, Megan, and Andrew’s father help Andrew see how beautiful life could be in Ouray when he is so focused on business and life in Denver?

This story really drew me in with the characters, the close connections of the community, and the storyline. I highly recommend it!
