Three Strikes and You’re Mine by R.S. Grey: Pastry chef Chloe needs a new start after having her entire life implode on her, but never fear with a little help from her huge ever involved family she lands herself a cushy job in the posh suburbs of the Hamptons to house sit for some fancy rich person. With a state of the art kitchen, sprawling grounds and a beautiful house Chloe really is living her best life but what was supposed to be a simple summer of house sitting on her own soon turns into a whirlwind of life, laughs and some definitely not safe for work thoughts when the home owner hunky professional baseball player Luke and his cute little girl Harper unexpectedly arrive back at their house. Between bonding with Harper and tiptoeing around her hot new boss, Chloe can’t help but feel like something more is cooking up between her and Luke…
YES!!! Three Strikes And You’re Mine was everything that I love about reading an R.S. Grey book! This book screamed perfection from start of finish, it was hard not to just find myself invested in Chloe, Luke and Harper as they played house for the summer. This book had everything that I love about Grey’s writing style; sassy, fun loving leading lady, a charming hero and one totally adorable kid! This was the perfect cute, happy, light read that just left me in a happy little book bubble!
I just loved Chloe, she was one of the sweetest, most relaxed leading ladies that I have read in a while. I just loved that she didn’t have any dramatic outburst at the start of the book with her ex, she kind of just rolled with it and picked herself up, this showed her grace and strength more than anything. I really enjoyed getting to see her bring a new sense of life and fun to both Luke and Harper. I even liked the way she wormed her way into the grumpy Ned.
As for our hunky hero Luke, well he was rocking all kinds of hot dad vibes, this guy was a total swoon fest and I loved every moment with him. At his core I really loved that he was genuinely a nice person, he cared deeply for his daughter and only wanted to do right by her. My heart just melted at the way Luke cared for Harper, these two really were their own little team and I loved seeing how easily Chloe fitted in.
I really enjoyed the way Grey worked the entire forced proximity theme into Luke and Chloe’s love story. These two so clearly had a thing for each other right from the very start and the banter that followed only made for a more thrilling read. I loved that they were both fighting their desire for each other but at the same time itching for a chance to get a bit closer to one and other. The build of the romance flowed perfectly especially with both Harper and Tate helping push Luke and Chloe together. I just loved Harper, gosh she was just the cutest kid. I loved that she added such a cute little layer to the story. I really liked that she had her own personality and a little quirkiness to her. More than anything I loved that they formed their own little girl team, something that Harper had been missing.
Simply put Three Strikes And You’re Mine is a MUST READ! This book had everything that is needed from the perfect book escape; cute characters, a slow burn love story and one cute kid! Now I can’t wait to get my hands on Tate’s book, I can already feel that it is going to be a goodie!

Dear Past Me,
Future You here, coming to offer a little advice: hang on for dear life. This summer is going to be a wild one. I know what you’re thinking: Life’s going so well! I don’t have a care in the world! Wrong. That culinary career you love so much? It’s about to go up in smoke, and your boyfriend? Yeah…he’s a goner too. If only love were as simple as, say, actually adding yourself to the lease agreement so you don’t suddenly find yourself loveless, jobless, and homeless!
Did your five-year plan include moving back in with your family and sharing a bed with your Nonna? No? Well, hate to break it to you…it’s exactly as traumatizing as it sounds.
Have you had enough? Too bad. Buckle up—it gets worse. Your new boss is a professional baseball player, and he’s hot, like really hot, but you’ll pretend not to notice because he’s a single dad and it feels wrong to ogle him in front of his innocent child. Unfortunately, he thinks you’re sexy as hell too. Unrequited love is one thing; mutual off-limits pining destined to explode in the worst of ways? What could go wrong…wrong…wrong… (That’s me fading out because you have to take it from here, kid. Good luck! Don’t screw this up for me.)
Sincerely,
Your future (wiser) self
