Today it is my pleasure to Welcome author Lisa Renee Jones to HJ!
Hi Lisa Renee Jones and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Lucifer’s Sin!
Hello lovely readers!
Please summarize the book for the readers here:
This is a second chance, angsty, emotional romance with an alpha hero and an alpha heroine who butt heads as foreplay. Luke (Lucifer is a nickname) finds out that someone is out to kill Ana, and he has to get to her first. She may hate him, but he’s never stopped loving her, and there’s isn’t anything he won’t do to save her.
Please share your favorite line(s) or quote from this book:
I have two! One is sweet, and one is rather… inappropriately hilarious 🙂
“This deadly angel has a delicate side I’m obsessed with discovering more of. ”
“Loyal dicks are the best dicks.”
Please share a few Fun facts about this book…
- Lucifer is a nickname given to Luke Remington for the way he piloted planes, among other things, in the military, but Luke feels like Lucifer. There is a sin in his past that cost him the woman he loved.
- Luke was recruited into Walker Security by Adam. He is close to Adam and Savage.
- To Ana, Lucifer is always Luke, even after the dreaded day that tore them apart.
- Their first kiss was in the snow.
- Ana’s father trained the most elite warriors for the US Army. Luke was one of the first men he ever trained. Ana trained, too.
What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?
The first time they meet, Ana thinks he’s robbing a convenience store when he’s trying to stop a robbery. She makes him get on his knees with his hands up. Luke is instantly in lust, which becomes a deep love. She tries to fight the attraction, but he wins her over quite swiftly.
Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?
When Luke and Ana finally meet again, they have to move quick and escape who is after them both. Luke is both seductive and naughty in this scene. He definitely made Ana blush in the following scene 🙂
“In case I don’t get out of here alive and you do,” he says, and then his mouth is slanting over my mouth.
I moan with the familiar, long-lost taste of him on my lips. I don’t mean to, I really don’t, but when his tongue finds my tongue, and sensations burn through me, I am his again. I am living a million delicious moments with this man. My arms slide around him, and I am back in time, replaying the night we met. Back in the parking lot of Brewster’s coffee house. We’d spent two hours talking, and when he’d walked me to my car, we’d stood there staring at each other.
“I have to do it,” he’d said, and then he’d moved.
A moment later, he’d kissed me, and it wasn’t a tentative, gentle kiss. He’d molded my hips to his hips and claimed my mouth with a possessive slide of his tongue, in a sultry way that had left me helpless to resist. The world had faded and all there was, was this man boldly kissing me when no one else in Kurt’s world would dare such a thing. The memory consumes me, the way Luke always consumes me, from the instant I met him. I sink into the here and now, into the kiss I never thought I’d know again, drinking him in and melting with the wicked wild way this man undoes me.
Until gunfire just above the stairway jolts us apart.
“That meant nothing,” I whisper.
“It means I can die a happy man, sweetheart, but I’d rather not. Let’s get the fuck out of here.” He turns me and lifts me toward the window. I shove my gun in my belt, and I’m already reaching for the lock when Luke moans, “God, woman, you still have a fine as fuck ass.”
“Stop looking at my ass,” I snap, working the lock and shoving the window open, but I’m still aware of the taste of him on my lips, and of every burning second his hands are on my body.
Readers should read this book….
If they’re in the mood for witty banter, high-heat passion, and some good romantic suspense action 🙂
What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?
I’m currently working on a thriller, that will be out next year, but then I am moving on to write the second and third books in Luke and Ana’s story, as well as the next two book in my Lilah Love series which will be out later this year!
Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Excerpt from Lucifer’s Sin:
I live in a high-rise apartment I rented the day I returned to the city to stay.
Ana and I walk through the lobby to the elevators. Once we’re inside the empty car, I drag her to me and kiss her again, refusing to give her the time to feel or have second thoughts. I’m rewarded with another one of her sweet, sexy moans.
When our lips part, I say, “God, woman, I want my tongue all over your body.”
Her lips part in surprise and when I would kiss her again, she presses her fingers to my lips. “I’m pretty sure they have cameras in here.”
I capture her hand and remove it from my mouth. “Are you shy?”
“Private is more like it,” she replies. “Do with me what you might, if I let you, but it’s between you and me.”
I like this answer. It’s a line drawn in the sand and challenge—one I plan to rise to meet. The elevator dings and the doors begin to open.
“There are no cameras in the elevator,” I tell her. “There should be, but there absolutely is not. And for the record, I like privacy as well and I hope like hell you do let me.” I lace the fingers of one hand with hers and lead her out of the car, down the hallway, and to my apartment.
Once we’re inside, I take her coat, kissing her shoulder as I do. She shivers under my touch, which pleases me. This deadly angel has a delicate side I’m obsessed with discovering more of. When she wants to. That’s one of the hottest sides to Ana. It’s easy to see that she chooses when to be rough and tough and when to be a delicate, blossoming flower, and with who. The question is, what will she choose with me?

If I had to have a code name/nick name it would be “The Unpredictable Feisty Redhead”. Why? Mostly because I’m a Redhead and I’m very feisty and you’ll never know what about I’m going to do next. Don’t cross me or you’ll find out how unpredictable and feisty I can be.
