Spotlight&Giveaway

Hi Amanda and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Nightchaser!

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

Thank you for hosting me on Harlequin Junkie today to talk about my new release, Nightchaser.

After writing several chapters of this book, I realized I was drawing inspiration from two of my all-time favorite adventure and romance stories: Robin Hood and Star Wars. I’ve always loved stories that are timeless, not because of their setting or era, but because of the underlying themes that are essential to the human condition. Loyalty, purpose, the need for love, friendship, and family, which can come in the form of a tight-knit crew or blood relations, and the fundamental need to fight oppression, something that countless people have struggled and died for in reality as well as in fiction. And then there’s the swashbuckling adventure and romance in these stories that make me love them so much more. It doesn’t get much more exciting than storming the castle against death-defying odds or launching into the epic team effort to blow up the Death Star. And romance doesn’t get much better than the smoldering heat and snarky antagonism between Han and Leia or the I would die for you devotion of Robin Hood for his Maid Marian.

Here are some hints about Nightchaser using the letters of the title as inspiration.

N is for nobility of spirit
I is for ignite the passion
G is for grand galactic adventure
H is for heart and heat
T is for trust that is earned
C is for charming space cat
H is for hot space rogue
A is for amazeballs escapes
S is for sexy times
E is for enigmatic heroine
R is for resolute in purpose

Stories like Robin Hood and Star Wars perfectly combine so many things that I love. The daring deeds, the selflessness, the cause, the friendships, and—probably above all—the romance. It’s my hope that you’ll think Nightchaser unites many of the things that make for an exciting romantic adventure as well.

Shade Ganavan: arrogance, charm…and that special something that makes you want to kick him.
With the dreaded Dark Watch closing in, what Tess and Shade don’t know about each other might get them killed…unless they can set aside their differences and learn to trust each other before it’s too late.

I’ve always loved the Robin Hood stories – from my early Saturday afternoon views of the movie with Errol Flynn to the more recent versions – the one with Russell Crowe is my favorite.

From literature, there are far too many. The Kingmaker Chronicles, obviously. The Fever Series by KMM, The Others Series by Anne Bishop, The Immortals After Dark and The Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole, and everything by Sarah J. Maas, just to name a few.

    Thanks for the opportunity!
