Spotlight&Giveaway

Hi Kelly and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Seduce Me!

Please summarize the book for the readers here:

Seduce Me is a second chance, enemy to lovers story about true love and sacrificing things for the people you love.

Please share the opening lines of this book:

He stood across the room and talked to Angie Reynolds like he had no idea he had shaken my entire world this past weekend. Maybe he did know. The truth was, he’d never know the real reason behind my leaving without saying a word to him.

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

  • The book started off as a side project to just write for fun.
  • We shot two different covers for SEDUCE ME.
  • The book had been written for almost three years before being released.

Please tell us a little about the characters in your book. As you wrote your protagonist was there anything about them that surprised you?

Charleston (Charlie) was probably one of my favorite characters from the get go. She was strong and independent, but not afraid to show a side of her that needed something else. Tucker surprised me the most in the beginning. There was one scene in the beginning where I actually said out loud after writing it…”Oh. No. You. Didn’t.” LOL

If your book was optioned for a movie, what scene would you use for the audition of the main characters and why?

Probably the scene where Charlie wakes up in Tucker’s bedroom after of night of getting very drunk. It’s cute and has a bit of fun to it.

“Let’s get back to what happened between you and Tucker last night.”
I shook my head as I glanced around the room for my clothes.
Dropping to my knees, I looked under the bed.
“Why are we talking about Tucker? I have bigger problems.”
Then I heard a male voice clear his throat.
“Oh God,” I whispered. “He’s in the room, Terri. I’m naked! I can’t find my clothes.”
Terri laughed. “Okay, well, have fun. Tell Tucker I said hey.”
My brows furrowed, and I was about to say something when the line went dead.
It was then I felt the change in the room, and everything from
last night came crashing back into my poor brain, causing my head to pound harder.
Slowly lifting up, I peered over the bed, only to find Tucker leaning up against the doorjamb. He wore a shit-eating grin on his face, and fuck me, he looked so gorgeous.
Oh no.
I swallowed hard. “Um . . . I can’t, um. Well, it appears I am . . . you see, I can’t find my, ahh . . . the dress I had on.”
Jesus. Why do I act like an idiot around him? Why!
“Your clothes had throw up on them. They’re almost dry.”
My stomach dropped. “Did we . . . ?”
He smiled. Full on dimples and all.
God, I want him. Even in my current hungover condition, I’ve never wanted this man more than right now.
Wait. No. I don’t!
Yes . . . yes, you do.
Crap. What if I already had him? And I don’t remember. I’m going to be so pissed off if we had sex and I don’t remember it.
“No, we didn’t sleep together, and for the record, you got yourself undressed.”
Relaxing, I let out the breath I didn’t realize I held in.

What do you want people to take away from reading this book?

First love is real. That some people are truly meant to be together and no matter what life throws at them…love always wins.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have planned?

I’m currently writing ENTICE ME, which is book two in the Austin Singles series. My next release will be RECKLESS LOVE which the is the final book in my Cowboys and Angels series.

Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Excerpt from Seduce Me:

As if this day couldn’t get any worse, right before we got to the booth, I slipped and started going down.
Great. I was going to bust my ass right there in front of everyone to see.
But at the last minute, I was saved. My body caught on fire when his arms grabbed me, preventing me from falling with utter embarrassment.
I looked up and his gray eyes met my blue.
Tucker.
I smiled, and he quickly looked away.
Ugh.
How long was he going to be pissed about what happened between us in college? It was ages ago, for Pete’s sake.
Note to self: Buy Tucker a book about forgiveness and never wear these fucking shoes again.
Tucker looked back at me quickly and said, “You always were a klutz, Charlie.”
That warm fuzzy feeling I had from his touch was extinguished by his shitty words of reprimand. Snarling my lip at him, I shot back, “You probably tripped me, Tucker.”
He winked and my insides melted. Yep. They melted.
Damn him!
“You would have deserved it after what you did to me,” he whispered against my ear, causing my lower stomach to heat up.
With a sigh, I shook my head. “Get over it, Middleton. It was ages ago.”
His unshaven face brushed against my cheek and caused my breath to hitch. The way his eyes flamed, he obviously noticed what his touch still did to me.
“That’s funny, seems like only yesterday to me.”
My body shuddered. His voice had a bit of sadness in it that rocked me to the core.

Book Info:

What happens when you’re forced to seduce the one person you vowed never to love?

You get screwed … in more than one way.

I walked out of Tucker Middleton’s bedroom seven years ago, leaving him hurt and angry. Now I need his help; the only way I can get it, is to make him think I want him back.

The only problem is we have silently vowed to hate one another for the rest of our lives. In order to get Tucker to help me—I have to seduce him.

Easy right?

Hell yes! I’m the CEO of CMI Consulting. If I set my mind to something, I make it happen.

Charleston Monroe is playing me for a fool. If she believes for one second I’m going to let her walk into my life to help her save the very job that ripped her away from me, she’s got another thing coming.

She thinks she can seduce me, and I let her believe she can. After all, I’m getting what I’ve always wanted.

Her.

I wouldn’t cause I’d rather die than have anything to do with that abusive cheat ever again.

  2. Mary Preston

My mind won’t even take me to a place where I would want to seduce an ex.

  3. Juli Hall

First off I would never want to seduce any of my ex’s. But if I had to I’d get him really drunk

  4. kermitsgirl

I feel like I also need to include the disclaimer that Juli did – they’re my exes for a reason, so I wouldn’t be seducing them! But if I was, definitely soft flirtation over drinks.

  5. Kathleen O

I would make sure we were on a dance floor where we could have our arms around each other…nothing more seductive than a slow sexy dance.

  6. laurieg72

I really have no desire to seduce an ex. If I wanted to see him again I would suggest a walk along the beach to find out what he’s been up to the past few years..

  7. lea

I don`t think I`d seduce my ex, but if I had to, I would probably get drunk first 🙂

  8. Jacqueline

If I had to seduce an ex I would call them and ask them out for drinks and dinner to start with.

  9. Teresa Williams

I would never seduce an ex .If I did I would get them drunk.

  10. Sonia

I wouldn’t want to but if needed there would be drinks involved (a lot of them)

  11. Debra Branigan

If he’s an ex, not gonna happen. I know better than to repeat mistakes.

  12. Joy Avery

I did this in the past. I set him up with a friend. After too much to drink I encouraged them to have sex and assisted. Quite a bit happened but we did end up back together with a passionate sex life.

  13. Irma

I would never. But to answer your question, a sms with – do you want to hook up? – would be enough.

  14. Nicole (Nicky) Ortiz

In order for that to happen alcohol would have to be involved
    Thanks for the chance!

  15. Barbara Bates

My Ex has passed on. He was a good guy and I have fond memories.

  16. Artemis Giote

Bring back that element of surprise. Let’s show him that there’s more to you than what he’s seen, and there is so much left for him to learn.
