Today it is my pleasure to Welcome author Amy Lea to HJ!
Spotlight&Giveaway

Hi Amy and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Set on You!

Please summarize the book for the readers here:

SET ON YOU is about a curvy Asian fitness influencer who reluctantly falls for her muscly gym nemesis, only to find out their widowed grandparents are getting married.

Please share your favorite line(s) or quote from this book:

“Four sets of squats and I’ll be high on endorphins for at least a day, fantasizing about the strength of my thighs crushing the souls of a thousand men.”

Please share a few Fun facts about this book…

  • The first kernel of inspiration for SET ON YOU started with me spending time in the gym people watching (as one does). As an avid romance reader, I can find inspiration for love wherever I go. While profusely sweating in a spin class, it suddenly came to me that the gym would be the perfect place to meet someone, as well as the perfect setting for enemies-to-lovers shenanigans.
  • Also, the love interest, Scott Ritchie, is inspired by Chris Evans.

What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?

Aside from initial physical attraction, Scott loves how serious and committed Crystal is to her job as a fitstagrammer and personal trainer. Crystal is attracted to Scott for his cheesy sense of humor and dedication to his family. They’re both attracted to one another’s competitive nature.

Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?

I tend to blush while writing any intimate scene! In particular, my fingers were singed as I wrote what early readers have dubbed “The Bathtub Scene.”

Teaser below:
“Our chests are rising and falling, the tension thickening with each passing second he’s not touching me. In fact, his hands are clasped on the sides of the tub, knuckles white, confirming that the hold he has on me has nothing to do with the physical world.
His voice alone makes me shiver. I watch the cords in his forearms flex and shake. He grunts as he loses restraint, reaching to place his hand over mine. I have no idea what he’s about to do, but I’m fully on board with a first-class, one-way ticket.”

Readers should read this book….

Readers should read this book if they have ever felt they weren’t the main characters in their own stories.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?

I am currently working on Tara and Mel’s stories – both of whom are secondary characters in SET ON YOU.

Thanks for blogging at HJ!

Book Info:

Curvy fitness influencer Crystal Chen built her career shattering gym stereotypes and mostly ignoring the trolls. After her recent breakup, she has little stamina left for men, instead finding solace in the gym – her place of power and positivity.

Enter firefighter Scott Ritchie, the smug new gym patron who routinely steals her favorite squat rack. Sparks fly as these ultra-competitive foes battle for gym domination. But after a series of escalating jabs, the last thing they expect is to run into each other at their grandparents’ engagement party.

In the lead up to their grandparents’ wedding, Crystal discovers there’s a soft heart under Scott’s muscled exterior. Bonding over family, fitness, and cheesy pick-up lines, she just might have found her swolemate. But when a photo of them goes viral, savage internet trolls put their budding relationship to the ultimate test of strength.
