Today it is my pleasure to Welcome author Amanda Bouchet to HJ!
Hi Amanda and welcome to HJ! We’re so excited to chat with you about your new release, Starbreaker!
Thank you for inviting me today!
Please summarize the book for the readers here:
I’m excited to share my new release, Starbreaker, with you. It’s an action-packed romantic adventure filled with high-stakes intrigue on a galactic level, daring heists, heart-pounding escapes, and tons of emotion. This is the second book in the Nightchaser series, a trilogy about a band of Robin Hood-like rebels striving to protect those in need all while trying to thwart the selfish and diabolical plans of an evil tyrant. It’s my hope that readers will join the crew of the Endeavor on a rollicking space adventure that takes them on a journey filled with heroism, heart, heat, and danger. If you’re looking for sheer romantic escapism and always wanted more kissing in Star Wars, then this is the book for you!
Please share your favorite line(s) or quote from this book:
My favorite quote from Starbreaker:
“Awesome date, Shade. You took me to murder highway.”
Please share a few Fun facts about this book…
- I wrote this book twice. Starting over didn’t seem like much fun at the time, but I’m so glad I did. The second version had everything the first was missing: banter, action, and plot twists!
- I’m in love with the hero, Shade Ganavan. I know I wrote him, but I’m flat out in love (sorry ladies, he’s mine!).
- My books are all on the long side, but Starbreaker is the longest book I’ve written yet, ending up at a whopping 116,000 words. That’s a big chunk of story—which I hope you’ll enjoy!
Here’s a little more about Starbreaker using the letters of the title for inspiration:

Oh, yes! Though my OTP in Star Wars was ruined by the last movie .
I can’t think of any other particular stories, but it would be nice to change some romances to fit my OTP fangirl moments for some of them.

Star Wars really could have used more romance. So I totally agree with you. And I like the Thor movies but think those could have a used a lot more romance. This series sounds amazing and I am looking forward to reading it. Congratulations on your new release!

Honestly, I never watched Star Wars so I don’t really have an opinion on that. However, even though I love romance in the books I read, I kind of hate it in movies and TV series. So I would say, I would like LESS romance in the movies I watch. However, there are times that I want more romance in BOOKS. Especially in SciFi, Fantasy, and Thrillers.
Debra Guyette
I love British police series. I do wish they had more romance.

My favorite movies are Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing and the Notebook so yes I love romance movies!

Star Wars needed more romance. There are lots of other TVs series and books that I enjoy but the romance was slow to build up or only had a small part in the story.
I loved a discovery of witches (tv series) but the kissing was rather limited

I was soooo disappointed with the end of the latest Star Wars movies. There should have been a couple at the end of that. Thanks for sharing!
