Summer Coven is a cozy mystery about two married vampires who stumble into yet another mystery when a pet psychic working the summer solstice festival turns up dead—with a coven of witches as the main suspects.

This book has more than its fair share of animal companions: Rumble the cat, the local raccoon population, a corgi named Al Capone, and a goldfish named Grumble (with a cameo by Destiel the cat, iykyk).

What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?

Arthur and Sal met in a vampire club in the 1950s, and it was not love at first sight, but once Arthur got to know Sal, he saw past the melodrama to the creative and kind man beneath.

Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?

We laughed through most of the book, but here’s an intro to our favorite new character:
Quinn headed straight for the circulation desk in the middle of the first floor. A chubby librarian sat behind it. They wore a simple they/them pronouns pin on their mauve cardigan. They looked to be in their fifties, by Arthur’s estimation, with hair pulled into a bun that was almost exactly half gray on top and half dark brown on the bottom, and smile lines creasing golden-brown skin. Opposite their pronouns pin was a name tag that read PAIGE TURNER with REGULAR HUMAN LIBRARIAN beneath in smaller letters.

What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?

Rosiee: Next up, I have a tie-in novel for the Life is Strange video game franchise coming out! It’s about a queer punk band in Seattle and a supernatural mystery.
Kat: I’ve got a fantasy romcom coming out February 2nd, 2027, called Necromancy and the Art of Hero Killing, about an immortal necromancer and the hero determined to defeat him accidentally falling for each other.
