Luke and Sophy have no choice but to work together because someone is willing to kill for those secrets. Forced proximity! The wedding suite is the only room available in the hotel! Murder by paranormal means!
Please share your favorite line(s) or quote from this book:
The first ghost materialized near the window, a dark, shadowy figure in the luminous gray light. He was smoking a cigarette.
Please share a few Fun facts about this book…
There’s a dog in the story. His name is Bruce.
What first attracts your Hero to the Heroine and vice versa?
Even though their families have been feuding for four generations Luke and Sophy realize they just might be able to trust each other—at least long enough to recover the stolen secrets.
Did any scene have you blushing, crying or laughing while writing it? And Why?
I chuckled when I wrote the scene in which Sophy is shocked to discover that her aunt has been having an affair with Luke’s uncle: The offending couple had disappeared, but the evidence of their intimate relationship was unmistakable. Sophy recognized her aunt’s fluffy pink robe dangling from a wall hook. She refused to open any drawers for fear of finding a vibrator or sex toys.
Readers should read this book….
If they are looking for fast-paced romantic suspense with a psychic twist. Also, there’s a dog.
What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have in the works?
Next up is ENTER THE NIGHTMARE, written under my Jayne Castle name. It’s got a Gothic vibe. No dogs involved but there is a dust bunny. His name is Sebastian.

Book Info:
New York Times bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz dives into an enthralling new romantic suspense novel filled with deeply entrenched grudges, psychic dangers, and a conspiracy that threatens not only two families but also the entire paranormal community.
The Harper and the Wells families have regarded each other with deep suspicion for four generations. The Harpers have been known to offer their psychic talents for less-than-legal purposes, and the powerful Wells clan has a reputation for playing both sides of the street. But for all the years of history and distrust between them, there is a mysterious pact binding the two. They share the responsibility for protecting a long-buried and very dangerous secret.
Sophy Harper and Luke Wells are shocked to learn that her aunt and his uncle have been sleeping together—and now they are both missing. Not only that, but the last traces of them are at the scene of a murder soaked in negative paranormal energy. Clearly, someone is willing to kill to obtain the secret their families have been charged with protecting. Despite their mutual distrust, which, as far as Sophy is concerned extends to Luke’s hellhound of a dog, they both know that the terms of the pact must be honored.
Their investigation uncovers a psychic trail leading to a bizarre desert art colony where nothing is as it seems. But Luke and Sophy are concealing a few secrets, too. By a strange twist of fate, a Harper and a Wells have no choice but to trust each other and the fierce attraction that is binding them as surely as the pact between the families.

I think it should be it’s own sub-genre
Crystal

Crystal
Now when I enter giveaway keeps coming back to entry form not sure entry is confirmed and definitely can’t see to get extra entries why? I think you have a major glitch
Lori R
It should have its own sub-genre.
Pam Conway
It should have it’s own genre, not paranormal.
erahime
It really depends on the story/premise.

Pam Conway
Not sure if my comment went through, should be its own genre, not paranormal.
Kathy
I considered it part of the paranormal genre, but a sub-genre under that.
Glenda Hefty
I would go along with the sub-genre label as others mentioned.
Amy R
Do you think psychic romantic suspense should be labeled paranormal? Or is it a distinct sub-genre? Paranormal but you could add a sub-genre after that
Colleen C.
Maybe a sub genre…
Charlotte Litton
Paranormal
Nancy Jones
Paranormal
DIANE SALLANS
Psychic romantic suspense would be a good sub-genre of paranormal that fits Jayne’s stories
Mary C
It should have its own sub-genre.
Dianne Casey
I think is should be it’s own sub-genre.
Bonnie
I think it should have a distinct sub-genre.
cherierj
I think it is fine to classify it under paranormal.
Elizabeth Gray
Cannot wait to read the book. I think it should have its own sub-genre.
psu1493
I think under paranormal as a sub-genre.
Ellen C.
It should probably be its own sub-genre.
Diana Hardt
I also think it should be its own sub-genre.
bn100
no idea
Glenda M
I’m not sure. So often there is more to a sub-genre than one defining thing. So I guess it depends.
lori h
Paranormal
Shannon Capelle
A sub genre i think.
Patricia B.
That is a goo question. For me, the whole fantasy-paranormal-psychic category can be so confusing when trying to classify. There seem to be overlapping areas. I likely don’t know enough about the “official” descriptions.
Janie McGaugh
I’ve always considered it paranormal.
Laurie Gommermann
I think it should be labeled as a paranormal.
Psychic would be a kind of paranormal where one or more of the characters has some type of psychic ability or abilities.
library addict
I think it should still be labeled as paranormal. Paranormal is simply the umbrella term to categorize all the books with that element of “extra” be it psychics, shifters, vampires, etc. It also can encompass multiple time-periods and settings such as fantasy, contemporary, historical, and futuristic. Having more than one tag/label is fine. And it wouldn’t make any sense to say it is not paranormal.
