REVIEW: Anna’s Forgotten Fiance by Carrie Lighte

In Anna’s Forgotten Fiance by Carrie Lighte, Anna is a young Amish woman faced with recovering from a head injury after an accident, and with the unique challenge of not remembering anything about her fiance! The fiance whom she is supposed to marry in just over a month!

Meanwhile, her fiance Fletcher strives diligently to help her regain her memory of her feelings for him, yet he is anxious at the same time that she might remember a serious topic that gave her pause in the first place about marrying him. While recovering from her head injury, Anna helps her beloved stepmother and stepbrothers around the farmhouse and tries to provide guidance to her young step-cousin- who is engaged to Anna’s former very selfish fiance. These relationships create some rather interesting scenes throughout the novel.

Anna routinely confesses to her doctor her frustration about her amnesia, and is given some encouraging and thought provoking guidance about not forcing her memory to return, and about taking the opportunity to “fall in love all over again” with Fletcher.

This deeply touching story is inspiring to read. I most highly recommend!
