At His Mercy by Shelly Bell is well worth the read! Forbidden, sexy, and addicting is only the tip of the iceberg with this story! 5 stars isn’t nearly enough, but it will have to do.

Isabella is lucky to be alive after her boyfriend attacked her. Now, all she wants to do is live a little before it’s off to college. She read about BDSM and she knows that she’s meant to live this life style. So, she attends her first play party, as a virgin, and meets Tristan.

Tristan immediately locks eyes on Isabella when she walks into the room. She’s new blood and he’s the wolf determined to devour her. The chemistry between Tristan and Isabella is unmistakable and for one night, these two lose themselves in each other. Well, it’s supposed to be one night, but fate has other plans. But unbeknownst to them, fate has put them into forbidden territory with Tristan, as her new professor.

When they see each other again, to say they are shocked, is putting it lightly. The woman he can’t get off his mind, his angel, is now sitting in his class and if the University ever found out, they would have to face the repercussions. Not only will Isabella be in the same class as him, but she will also be his office assistant. That intense chemistry between them is still there and it’s not going anywhere. They can either ignore it or they can throw caution to the wind and let their desires take over. But with both Tristan and Isabella’s pasts coming back to haunt them, will either of them survive?

“She was his.
His to cherish.
His to punish.
His to defend.”

I loved Tristan and Isabella together and I loved the forbidden aspect of the story. I also really appreciated the age difference. Isabella is nineteen and Tristan is twenty-eight in the story. Isabella doesn’t act like she’s nineteen, but I felt that the age difference made the story hotter.

This story has a lot to it, then just a romance between a professor and his student assistant. Tristan’s money hungry ex-wife will cause a lot of trouble, as well as, some interference by Isabella’s roommate and ex-boyfriend. There are a few twists that happened along the way that I certainly didn’t see coming, but appreciated, nonetheless. The BDSM portion of the story was done very well, as usual with this author and provided plenty of heat. Overall, an amazing read that I would recommend to anyone who loves BDSM.
