Can’t Let Her Go by Sandy James: Chelsea is the hottest star in Nashville. After coming off of a very successful tour, she’s looking forward to staying home and working on a new album of duets to benefit a cause near and dear to her heart. If only she can convince Ethan Walker to sing a duet of his parents’ famous song, then she knows the album will be a hit.

Ethan hates the press and the music industry. He grew up under the harsh spotlight of the press with parents who were known as the King and Queen of Nashville. Between the lack of privacy, regrettable album as a teenager, and loss of his parents, he is more than happy to be the part owner of a bar and run a horse farm.

While Ethan avoids singing, he knows exactly who Chelsea is. He’s surprised that she would show up at his bar and try to get him to record with her. Everyone knows that Ethan wants nothing to do with recording, and he is more than happy to show her just how stubborn, recalcitrant, and cantankerous he can be.

“Stop acting so innocent.”
“I’m not acting anything,” she retorted, mimicking his actions.
“I don’t care how many stalls you clean out or horses you bathe. I’m not recording a song with you.”
“You already said that.”

Chelsea isn’t the diva he assumed her to be. She’s genuine, caring, feisty, and just as stubborn as he is. She also doesn’t give up easily, despite the unexpected chemistry between them. They lead very different lives and have different levels of tolerance for the press. As they get to know each other, they find something worth exploring despite their differences. They are well matched in all ways and they challenge each other.

She covered the distance between them in long, irate strides. She poked him in the chest. “Why can’t you just be reasonable?’
“It’s reasonable to let you lie to me?” he asked, utterly fascinated by her change in mood. “And since when did I get to be the bad guy here?”

Can’t Let Her Go is an entertaining romance set in the heart of Nashville. Sandy James provided drama, conflict, heat, and tension alongside plenty of heart and strong friendships. In Nashville the music is louder, the dreams are bigger, and love can bring a cowboy to his knees.
Ethan Walker is Nashville royalty. Born to the King and Queen of Country Music, he’s spent his life trying to escape the spotlight of his parents’ fame, even walking away from his own promising singing career. He’s the kind of cowboy who prefers flannel to flashbulbs, hay fields to hit records, and the solitude of his horse farm to the nightlife along Music Row. The last thing he wants is attention, especially when it comes from country’s latest star…
Chelsea Harris’s meteoric rise up the charts and string of celebrity boyfriends mean that wherever she goes, the paparazzi follow. A duet with Nashville’s favorite son is exactly what her new charity album needs, but when she approaches Ethan, he turns her down flat. To win the camera-shy cowboy over, Chelsea will have to approach him on his terms. Trouble is, the more time she spends on his farm, the more Ethan wants to keep her there.
